Unless Castro allies himself with the Planet of the Apes, but the apes would never ally themselves with such a filthy creature.

Sure thing. Safe patriotic ‘toon, Captain Obvious. Lady Liberty will outlast every native born American alive today. She will outlast all of the wonderful immigrants that come to our shores in perpetuity. Her spirit will go with us to the stars, too. Some things are forever.

Crime: Non-immigrants are incarcerated at nearly 2x the rate of illegal immigrants, and at more than 3x the rate of legal ones.

Educational achievement: Only 17 percent of the finalists in the 2016 Intel Science Talent Search — the “Junior Nobel Prize” — were the children of United States-born parents. At the Rochester Institute of Technology, a mere 10 percent of graduate students in electrical engineering were non-immigrants.

Religion: 83 percent of illegal immigrants are Christian — 71 percent of native born Americans are Christian.

Business creation: Non-immigrants start businesses at ½ the rate of immigrants, and accounted for less than ½ of the companies started in Silicon Valley between 1995 and 2005.

The rate of out-of-wedlock births for United States-born mothers exceeds the rate for foreign-born moms, 42 percent to 33 percent.

The rate of delinquency and criminality among non-immigrant teens considerably exceeds that of their immigrant peers.

The Sentencing Project proved that the fewer immigrants there are in urban neighborhoods, the likelier it is to be unsafe.

The race for the future is ultimately a race for people — healthy, working-age, fertile people — “The increase in the overall number of U.S. births, from 3.74 million in 1970 to 4.0 million in 2014, is due entirely to births to foreign-born mothers,” reports the Pew Research Center. Without these immigrant moms, the United States would be faced with the same demographic death spiral that now confronts Japan.

Bottom line: Newcomers are more appreciative of what the United States has to offer, more ambitious for themselves and their children, and more willing to sacrifice for the future. In other words, just the kind of people we used to be — when “we” had just come off the boat.

Driving away those who would love us is a clear sign of mental illness. Businesses don’t prosper by firing their better employees and discouraging job applications.

Our America will never remain great by berating and evicting its most energetic, enterprising, law-abiding, job-creating, idea-generating, self-multiplying and God-fearing people — the people who strain hardest to become a part of it because they realize that America is special; and who do the most to make it so, that our ideals, and our appeal, may stand forever.

GUY FAWKES – Yes. Yes. We all love immigrants. It’s the ILLEGAL immigrants we wish to send home. The danger of uncontrolled immigration is the submerging of our dominant culture beneath a foreign one.

    @John Locke

Do the depths of your hypocrisy know no bounds?

Logic dictates that all Americans are immigrants, and that our ‘dominant culture’ could have no source other than immigrants. Legal paperwork does not magically transform immigrants into WASPs.

btw – 96% of America’s land is uninhabited by people. Perhaps instead of mining and fracking it all to hell, we should have a Homestead Act, part 2.

Ramirez shares the same “us against the world” view as his boy Trump, except when it comes to his precious Russia. We used to be able to count on Republican Presidents to stand up to Dictators like Putin. Maybe it’s different when Russians buy $100 million worth of Trump Condos.

GUY FAWKES – Do the depths of your illogic know no bounds? America has its own distinctive culture different from the culture of say, Mexico. Most of us here in the U.S. do not wish to morph into Mexico. I am not an immigrant and I’m guessing you aren’t either. Most of the people in this country are not immigrants. Our ancestors may have been, but we aren’t. See the difference? A founding tenet of the United States is that the sins of the father are NOT to be laid upon the children. Just because your father was a horse thief back in England doesn’t make you one.

Yes, let’s not open an avenue with Cuba because of their unjust system. However selling arms to the Saudi’s is just peachy because hypocritical is just a poly syllable word.

t is amazing Guy Fawkes is against any form of patriotism there is, it is right bad left good. End of story. The left is throwing out the Christian Culture that has worked for the most part for 2000 years with almost no conversation. What does that tell you.

To both Jack and Locke…If you want to learn about the world and what it thinks about American culture, just read political commentaries and look at political cartoons from all over the world since Nov. 2016. It might open your eyes about the world perception of our culture….

@WALFISHJ News flash: Fidel Castro is dead and roasting in hell, if the believers are right. There remains Raúl Castro and he is alive and (at least nominally) in charge. He is not one whit more compromising than his late, unlamented brother. We’re stuck with this Presidio de Pendejos and the orange-utan will un-ass them only by war. And most of us don’t want that, either. Damned if we do …

    Meantime, think before you post.

Once AGAIN: If you want fewer illegals, prosecute those who employ them.

If you want fewer immigrants, eliminate or at least closely regulate the various B1 visa programs.

It’s pretty baffling how so-called ‘conservatives’ cannot understand the connection — unless, of course, they believe corporate profits are more important.

BRAINDEAD – Yes. Do all those things. But also, don’t allow them in to begin with. We should use ALL methods to enforce the rule of law, don’t you think?

  18. Albert einstein brain i6
braindead GC INSIDER 6 days ago

Oh, right. We’ll ‘compromise’ by spending hundreds of millions on increased border patrols, along with whipping up armed vigilante groups

and a suggestion that the B1 visa programs will be looked at. Some day.

Yes sir. We’ll do all those things. Right after we build The Wall. Sure.
