I agree. The EU was supposed to be a sort of trade agreement between nations. When did they decide they were called on to form a new superstate? The British were right to insist on governing themselves (as far as their corporate masters will let them) and not becoming a satrapy under the control of faceless, unelected Eurocrats in Brussels and Strasbourg. And would their economy be better if they had exchanged sterling for euros? Supporting the Greeks and other economic basket cases?
