OMG, it’s contageous!

Adam and Laura are now birds of a feather.

That’s not too bad to do Laura, better than looking at social sites. And it’s nice to see them both kind of stuck in what to write.

Hard to believe Laura has writers’ block. But I suppose Stephen King and J. K. Rowling sometimes do, too.

I have World of Solitaire on my laptop. I especially like “Yukon” and “La Belle Lucie”—two of the hardest games on the site!

I knew Laura had been published but I don’t remember her quitting her job to write full-time. Did I miss something or is this just a day off.

I don’t know… “The Wretched Roll” seems a bit derivative… (“The Wretched Turnip” is Laura’s Book) ☺

Solitaire. She’s a super-secret double agent, a master of weapons, and a cunning linguist. She can dance the gay tarantella while mixing a perfect dirty martini. She can fly anything with wings and drive anything with wheels. She can drink your mother-in-law under the table and Indian Wrestle your postman to the ground and steal his wallet without a sound.

You never know when inspiration will strike you, you can’t force it. I can’t imagine what inspired her to do The Wretched Turnip.

And Adam is tap, tap, tapping away on something, probably all work and no play makes Adam a dull boy.

What’s happening? Shouldn’t Laura have won 2 Pulitzers by the last panel—and Adam received a citation for plagiarism?

Solitaire with the keyboard, not the mouse? I’m suspicious. She might be secretly getting work done without him knowing.

Is the ever-present bowl of oranges symbolic?

When husband and I were in college we were both going to be writers. Knowing how hard it can be to be a writer – I was taking accounting (my family’s business) and he was premed (grandparents would pay for him to be a doctor). We first met in a creative writing class.

Neither of us became a professional writer – though he writes on the Internet. I tried to do so also, but like everything else in life – I am too odd for people to read what I was writing about.

So we moved on to becoming craft artists. At least some of what each us makes sells now and then (used to do local craft shows, then on Etsy – back when it had to be crafts made by the poster not the commercial stuff sold now, now he does weaving demonstrations at 18th c reenactments and sells some scarves, table runners and such and I demonstrate period embroidery and refuse to do any pieces to sell.

No matter what – its mostly been fun – and we are still together.
