With the self-assurance of a man competing in women’s weightlifting, the attendees at the 28th United Nations Conference of the Parties will be gathering for their groupthink on “global transformative climate action.” During their intermittently scheduled pearl clutching sessions, it’s likely that the term “settled science” will be uttered, yelled, and sobbed frequently with red-faced exasperation. “Settled science” is the ultimate oxymoron. Science should encourage skepticism, alternate theories, debate, and dissent. It’s only settled by those who fear data that contradict the teachings of their nearsighted sect.
If you ignore disagreement because man-made warming is settled science, you’ve left the realm of science and are fast approaching climate as a religion.
“The important thing is not to stop questioning.” Albert Einstein, 1955
