1/23/2018 “Even Death May Die” (2011)
Beninia, a small country, a sliver of land between Togo and Nigeria, with a bit of Convegna Volta (German) touching the upper part of Beninia near the Niger rive, tail end on the Gulf of Guinea so they can have some maritime action for what they export. Orchids, like from no other country and in ways that make them bizarre compared to the usual extremely weird orchid including those that have been grown an cultivated and cross bred. The city of Ónca Mequae has one of the longest lived populations and a low death count compared to their population density. A second such vessel is going to the opposite side of the Earth lined up with Ónca Mequae. They are peaceful and seem to have no resources to plunder, and no bases since there are much better places for them. The Reich has been there several times to study the anomalies there.
“Interesting, eh?” Dr. Lectaire prompted from Beezlebub over the information.
The Second Voyage: The Flight of the Roc
A Roc hen has landed on the egg. They each take no time in lashing themselves to the legs, Sinbad on one with Ooolalaz with Oop-Allez on the other and wait for when the bird lifts off again for flight. However waiting is difficult, the added heat made things more than they already are. Miserable in fact. They all carry each a skin of water, but they had to limit their intake. The massive creature will take off some time to feed.
Henri, Dr. Lectaire and Beezlebub created by Wilbur Floppenheimer
Beninia, a fictionalized version of Benin. Found in the SF novel, “Stand on Zanzibar” written by John Brunner. Certain elements of it I took from the novel.
