It was that eau d’half-burned tobacco that made it special!

Do they still make Tab? What a horrible thought. My girlfriends and I only drank it because it was new and cool and had the magic word ‘diet’. It really was ghastly and this is an excellent description.

How timely! Coca-Cola recently announced it is discontinuing Tab. Perhaps with fewer people smoking these days, they’re running out of that “secret” ingredient.

A friend of mine is heartbroken that they’re discontinuing TAB. She loves the stuff.

If you had only remembered what she said, Dan, you could have saved us this whole Tab conversation. I never drank it
.and I guess I never will. Sounds like I’m not missing anything. Of course, I never used soup starter(?) or slept on an ugly couch either. Where have I been???

Tasty Aerated Beverage. As generic, and possibly misleading, as possible.

Back in 1980, the Coca Cola company test-marketed a line extension for TAB—root beer, lemon-lime, orange, etc. The products never made it past the test markets, but a friend who lived in one of the test markets area brought me cases of the stuff. They weren’t bad, and they were definitely better than TAB itself.

Panel 3 is true. Fortunately it’s gone for now.

Look in some of the small stores around where you live. Maybe some of them still have some Tab. It might have some value.

The unexpected taste of a butt in a can. Oh the horror! Been there.
