Looks like Andy is a Scone’s throw from boredom and keeping his temper. Maybe he can ‘spike’ the tea.

It would be interesting to see this play out in tomorrow’s strip and get a glimpse Flo’s mum & sister – 2 characters rarely, if ever(?), seen…

May I ask why the Vicar, mum and sister are visiting Flo – Social or remedial?

Andy should pick up the phone:" There’s an emergency at The Rose and Crown? Chalkie’s in big trouble? I’ll be right there." Then run past them out the front door.

That seems like a safety hazard to be able to lock the back door from the inside and needing a key in case of a fire.

On another note, Roger Mahoney recently passed away on 5th November at age 89. He retired from the Andy Capp strip in 2020. I found out in an Andy Capp group that I’m a member of.

Those who remember Number Six (a former regular Capper) he was never a fan of Mahoney. Number Six now draws the cartoon strip “Insanity” for Infinity Magazine on a monthly basis and moved to Rutherglen just over a year ago I believe.

If only certain people on here would bother to get Facebook then you would see for yourselves what he is getting up to in life! ;-) Not just words on a screen. Photos too! I do have his email address however if anybody would like it.
