Many years ago I was my local pub one evening talking to a friend and his wife came into the pub with his dinner on a plate, placed it on the bar in front of him and then flounced out. She’d brought a knife and fork too so he calmly ate his dinner and carried on drinking. He didn’t come into the pub for the next couple of evenings though.
I’ve said it before and I still believe that Flo works. If Andy and his buddies think she’s such a horrid cook he should take over those duties. Either eat it or fix it.

I loved Lumpy Gravy, esp. “Oh No”, a lovely melody.

If that doesn’t sound appetising then I don’t know what does.

Give it another 30 minutes and it will taste like proper British cuisine.

That woman drove me to drink, and I never thanked her for it. (paraphrased from W.C. Fields)

Gravy doesn’t ‘get’ lumpy. It starts out that way and never gets better.

Andy has a full pint Flo. You must keep his supper warm until he arrives. You can not rush a pint, takes the pure enjoyment out of it.

Andy is disgruntled and disgusted by Flo’s description of dinner.

In other words you can expect it to be that way.

Like someone taking something from the fridge and asking, “Does this smell bad to you?” If you have to ask, just throw it out.

I thought Flo always served dinner that way.
