I don’t believe the last panel. She’s probably grateful for the attention Arlo shows her. I know my wife probably is too, and I’m DEFINITELY grateful my wife show me all that kind of attention. Oh, and I’m not typing this with an angry attitude, you can’t show emotion in a statement.

It is so nice to see a comic strip which portrays a happy loving couple. Arlo and Janis show this on a regular basis. It really does remind me of my wife and myself and how playful we are with each other.

She’s amused by his extravagant old-fashioned formal gesture of affection but charmed at the same time—hence her huge grin.

I get a kiss on the head when my hubby goes to bed at night. That’s it, nothing else in the affection part of our relationship. My cats are more affectionate than that!

Been doing this to my wife for over 20 years. She always asks “So what’s that about?” My reply is “Nothing, I just needed to kiss your hand/neck/shoulder.” And I just walk away. No complaints a-tall.
