What’s a BS degree…well, we know that one…

What’s MS? More of the Same.

What’s PhD? Piled higher and Deeper!

And I’ve seen people who are idiots to a great degree.

This is shown by the Oxford and Cambridge graduates who have formed many incompetent governments here in the UK.

I’ve met many college professors who proved this to be true.

There are many highly educated people, who look down on trades people, who don’t have the intelligence to change the flapper in a toilet.

Not only are they idiots, they have an attitude. It’s almost as if they think it’s a badge of honor.

I have two degrees. The one from college is worthless – all theory and ivory tower fantasy. The other “degree” came from the the university of hard knocks.

I used to work at a university in the mid-west. The stories I could tell that relate to exactly that concept.

My mom was an intelligent person with a 6th grade education.

On the other hand, I know of a lot of well-educated idiots.

There is a difference between book sense and common sense. I am blessed to have a modicum of both, though I still have to learn some things the hard way…

Intelligent and smart are two entirely different things. It’s better to be smart.

Why yes,yes you can!

That is true, but it does not hurt to have an education.

Degrees look good on a resume. Education is no guarantee of competence.

I have found the world to be full of educated idiots. In fact, I’ve also found that if one truly wants to degrade a field, let it fall into the hands of its own self-styled and degreed ‘experts’.

Too many turn out to be smart @$$es.

How many times have I said this to myself. Intelligence doesn’t mean a person has common sense!

That is SO true!

Some of the dumbest I’ve ever meet were PhD. Next came engineers. Mechanical in particular, have a degree and NEVER turned a screwdriver. I’m not exaggerating!

Something to think about- having a PhD means you know a lot in your particular field. It doesn’t mean you know everything and it doesn’t mean you are right. I know doctorates in Christianity, Judaism, Islam and other religious and anthropogenic studies.

It appears that many well-educated, intelligent, and street smart people have ended up in their old age here at GoComics. Not me. I got here by accident.

One of the most valuable things I learned I was taught by mentally handicapped people: to laugh about myself.

But the Degree is Optional.

As a certain someone has demonstrated, you can also have Relatives who both Have Degrees and Brains and be an even Bigger Idiot.

Especially if you Brag about having smart relatives as if that made You Less of an idiot.
