No place to hide

Sometimes I need a spot like Darryl’s.

My favorite place to read — that is if I have time to read — in my apartment practically anywhere since I’m the only occupant herein.

My Mom found me in my walk in closet once. She looked at me reading and quietly walked away. I was the odd child.

“Plus, with my super hearing, I could hear you turning pages.”

Persistence paid off for Hammie !

He only knows every hiding place in the house because he’s used them all.

Not that the ladder was a give away. Al the more reason for a tree-house.

Well obviously. Hammie at one time or another has had to use every hiding place in that house.

“Hic! Hic! Hic! Hic!” [Ping!]… “Found you!”

Also, it’s where Mom hides the good chocolate.

Hammie is like my youngest daughter. She has to know where I am all the time. Very annoying.

Why didn’t he just go in the bathroom and lock the door?

Dad that ladder a big give on you. Wished I had that issue. My mom thought books a waste of time, we had no books to read, unless count an old out dated dictionary. I did not know where any library was. I bought my first books, though a comic, at a grocery store. When I had my first paid job then I bought books. When I married went to garage sales then I really struck it rich with books lower price someone did not want. Now that I am older I have accumulated plenty of books. As I cannot go anywhere, I fell on asphalt mid May, fracture lower femur, orthopedic 5 weeks down, messed up bone did break, found out another x-ray another five weeks, this time careful another week orthopedic going with caution. Mean time I been reading paperback books, doing simple jigsaw puzzles online. Few programs I watch. Then hope pass 16th for therapy restart my life.

It looks like you left a pretty big clue Darryl.

The ladder there certainly didn’t give it away, eh?

Plus I’m guessing that ladder isn’t normally there!

If they haven’t already, They should do a story where they camp in a yurt

I too knew every hiding spot in my house when my sister and I played. I would always win because she stinks at hide and seek.
