There was one time my wife was woken up by someone breathing on here at 5 in the morning. When she opened her eyes, she saw our 3 year old standing really close to her before announcing in a loud voice “I’m awake!!!”
I wanted to buy my grandson a Hot Wheels track when he was about 10. (9 years ago) I couldn’t find the one with the garage the car went through to keep it going, you know the one with the wheels that spun when the car went through. He had to have it on a table so the car would get momentum to go around the loop if it made it that far. He liked the race track we got him the next year.
The secret to laying out an immense track is spacing the power boosters at just the right intervals. My kids once laid out theirs through the living room, kitchen, dining room and back to the living room. It took a while to get the booster spacing just right. I stayed out of the way as this was a great problem-solving experience for them.
In 1969 all the kids in the neighborhood brought out all of their orange Hot Wheels track and ran it down the sidewalk, our street had a good slope. All worked great until it was time to go home, the arguing over who’s track was who’s.
My best friend growing up had divorced parents and he lived with his dad. He had the dining room and the living room to set up his hot wheels track and it was the best time ever. He had the thing that made your cars go fast and a speedometer and I had a car that went ‘120’ mph, it was a record never broken.

Best to stop there. The track will never fit over Darryl’s nose.

Neighbor had the set along with the super charger. I only had a couple cars, but I did/still do have the Mighty Mover set.

Need to find another “go-to” gift for Hammie this Christmas. If he has that much track, he’s got enough Hot Wheels track sets.

My spouse goes wild with the G-gauge train track layout at Christmas, but the it’s never made it into the bedroom- yet.

I love the image of little Wren carrying as many of the tracks as her little arms can hold (◠‿◠✿)
