The only time I see those price stickers is when they’re still attached to older products that I find at my local thrift store (the same store tags all their items with a new sticker that has a QR code).
Reminiscent of an old SNL commercial parody, where they were selling these pricing guns to the general public so you could mark down your own groceries right there in the store: “Imagine! An entire turkey for only four cents!”

Haven’t seen any stores using a price gun in several decades. The bar code replaced it; soon the QR will make bar codes obsolete too.
