Are you sure it isn’t cilantro?
If it’s good for us, why does it taste so awful?
I’ve no doubt that’s exactly how it happened
Fry it up with some bacon and onions. You’ll love it.
Just as long as you only eat the bacon & onions, & discard what is left.
Next detection sauerkraut
This is why someone created vinegar; to turn BLECH into MMMmmm.
I’ve loved kale since way before it got hip and trendy! Admittedly with some meat and sugar fried potatoes: http://www.copenhagenet.dk/CPH-Map/CPH-Recipes-11-10-Kale.asp
I know it’s just a joke, but kale wasn’t discovered, it was cultivated. Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, kale, and some others are cultivars of wild cabbage and were developed through selective breeding.
Yeah, I’ve always liked kale, too….and a good thing, cuz I have no real willpower about healthy eating. And the other thing in this comic (which we were taught from day one), is “if you shoot it, you eat it”.
I love all greens…Dandelions in salad, When I buy beets I only take home the greens. Fried Okra.. remember if you start with…Extra virgin olive oil and garlic, You can’t go wrong.
Kale’s popularity and healthy reputation is a complete fabrication by Manhattan guerrilla marketer Sinclair Oberon. It is truly awful stuff.
Kinda thought this was where this was going.
Mushrooms…who was the first person to say “Let’s eat this thing that grows in crap!”
Time for some Veggie Boyd.
It is better than dying. But not what I would call a major difference.
So this is where that old saying started, the one mentioning about early vegetarians being bad hunters.
Try it with curry powder, or better with a good curry sauce and you’ll enjoy iT better
I cooked kale once and my husband said, “Why … this tastes like animal fodder!”
I question the times-kale of this strip…
Kale is best left undiscovered.
And yet, nobody tried smoking it.
Maybe they’d like some Soylent Green…
I like kale.
