I read the comics for the next day the night before. Then I go to bed.

Comics first, then swap back and forth between my local (online) newspaper and online WSJ. Google News occasionally the rest of the day for big stories.

I get up at 4am (by choice) and love sitting in the quiet of the early morning with coffee and comics. Of course, today I hear the hurricane outside, so it’s not very “zen”.

I read the comics and then ignore the rest of the newspaper. It keeps the smile all day.

Wait, you have an actual paper and don’t get breaking news all day on other devices?

I stick with the comics only. Don’t watch the news. Sometimes check local headlines online.

For me it’s the comics first then I get on with my day, no need to check the “news” it is usually worthless items like Russia claims the Ukrainian population wants to be annexed to Russia which is proven by the results of a referendum where all people had to vote and every vote was scrutinized by a Russian soldier. That is not news that is #&@*!

Comics are always first and if the news looks bad, they are also the last thing I read.

My local paper removed the only comics I actually liked and replaced them with ones I don’ like. They also removed their TV Listings guide and replaced it with a page of “must see” shows, none of which I will watch. They also took away some of the puzzles I like. Yesterday, I got notification that my monthly cost would go up $4 more every month, so I called them and cancelled my subscription. I can get all the things I miss online for free, and the comics are right here. They said they were excited by all the changes, and wouldn’t I like to take another couple of weeks to “get used to” the changes and like them. I said “No thanks”. I feel better already.

Just read half of what you do read first, (I only read about 70 of what go comics offers), … and then read the second half after reading all the bad news!

Similarly, I always save the last bite of my meals for whichever part I enjoyed the most.

I always start with the comics, then sports, then news last. Someone, can’t remember who, said “Read the sports first before the news, sports is filled with mans accomplishments, news with mans failures.”

The newspapers today carry very little cartoons or updated news. I go to the internetfor comics and news. And no flipping pages…..

I used to read the news first and finish up with the comics but they kept raising the subscription rates and offering less news. When they cut the comic section in half I said goodbye.

It now takes me all day to read the comics. With time out in the middle for exercise, shopping, appointments, hobbies…

Save the best (comics) for last. It’s like dessert and makes the rest of the news more palatable
