Funny how women show more and more of their bodies (even at 50+ they wear thongs showing their entire butts yet men are supposed to cover up the bulge as much as possible.) Our present zeitgeist wants men to be basically castrated. Sad,sad, sad.
I’m a lap swimmer, and about half of the retired guys I swim with wear Speedo’s. Trunks for me, but I don’t care what the others wear. In the locker room, same ration for whitey-tighties versus boxers (me).
Why are speedos such a no go in the US? When I grew up (in Europe) it was normal swimwear for men and it still is for many of them. And as long as we are on strange ideas, why are little girls now wearing a top piece or a one piece? There’s nothing to hide.
Body-shaming is so wrong, whether it is men in a Speedo-style suit, or “over 60 women in a bikini”.
Shame on all those who make such inappropriate comments.
One never knows if the swimsuit wearer has shed a significant amount of weight, and is “celebrating” their new “in-progress” body by what they wear when they exercise at the beach or at the pool, as part of their ongoing efforts to change their body.
P.S. to the comment about swimwear for pre-pubescent girls, Google-search “Gwen Jacobs top-free” — for decades, women in Canada have equal rights to be top-free as men.

Rule to be enforced with religious zeal. If there’s no room to keep your ID tucked away (to check your age)… tooooo small.
