Big Nate by Lincoln Peirce for March 07, 2010
Transcript:
Marty says, "I thought you were skating." Nate says, "I didn't even make it to the pond. It's too cold." Marty says, "Too cold? Oh, come on!" Marty says, "When I was your age, I'd skate for hours days like this!" Nate asks, "Really?" Marty says, "Absolutely!" Nate says, "I'll text gramps to confirm." Nate says, "He says on cold days you'd pretend to be sick so you could stay inside and play with legos." Marty says, "Son, your grandfather is old and senile." Nate says, "Did they even have legos back then?"

It’s worth checking out the Wikipedia on the Lego company. The mid 1940s is when Lego as we know it really started to take shape with the patenting of the basic block system. My dad bought me some Lego sets in the early 60s when they first started selling it in the US. And yeah…I’m way older than anyone else commenting here!
