Mrs. Godfrey, we finished reading chapter five! Can we play table football? What? No! When you finish one chapter, you shouldn't have to be told to go on to the next chapter! Would you rather learn something or waste your time on some silly game? Is she serious? Why does school always have to be about learning stuff?

Well, at least I have time. Lucky me, I woke up at 3:30, still dazed from election day. Thought it would go the other way, just like what Teddy and Nate did today.

OK, everyone, we all know that I am infamous for sometimes assigning first or last names to supporting characters and then promptly forgetting what those names are. Right now I honestly can’t remember the answer to this question: have I ever given a first name to Mrs. Shipulski, the school secretary? I think I might have given her a first initial in a strip from several years ago where there’s a newspaper article about her driving her car through her garage door. Anyway, if some of you Big Nate detectives can research this, please let me know what you find out. Many thanks!

For me, it depends on what kind of reward the game has. If it’s paper football, I skip it… if it’s a game that has challenges and rewards (even digital “rewards” that don’t really mean anything), I’d rather do that. ;-)
