Big Nate by Lincoln Peirce for July 16, 2013
Panel 1: "This should be fun! I love baseball! "If we win, we'll be in second place!" Panel 2: "I haven't been to a little league game since YOU played, Marty!" "OOH! Spill it, Gramps!" Panel 3: "Was Dad a decent player as a kid?" "Good gravy, no." Panel 4: "But he TRIED! He tried!" "Yeah, that's how he coaches, too!"
If this happened at a real-life Little League game, they’d probably ask for a volunteer from among the parents in the bleachers. I remember playing a game as a kid, and my dad ended up as the umpire behind the plate. Not fun.
