Story arc idea: Marty finally agrees to let Nate have a dog, but Marty said it has to be a mutt from the animal shelter, much to the chagrin of Nate who specifically wanted a purebred. When his friends hear the news, Francis tells Nate the advantages of adopting a shelter dog, but Nate still isn’t sure yet. He then thinks about it for a few days, then to everyone’s disappointment, he changes his mind about getting a dog
You know how Nate dealt with the problem of having the vending machines replaced with healthy food? Well, what if that happened with his dad at work? The whole story would be based on his struggles and stray away from Nate always being the main protagonist. It’s just a thought.
Did that duty for 5 years. It took into the third year for me to get over the culture shock. Then it was smooth sailing. Although two 13 year old boys got into it one day. Hoowee. When I learned how to navigate the tweens, I really liked 99% of the kids. The 1% should have been carted off to military school for some serious butt whupping to their attitudes.
Nate and Teddy were walking down the seventh graders hallway, yakking away after their free period, when Nate noticed that there was one locker on the long empty hallway that was opened a crack.
Nate had heard rumors about secret tunnels through the school in the lockers.
“Teddy, look,” Nate whispersed, pointing to the locker.
Teddy looked over and saw the locker.
Nate and Teddy exchanged excited looks, and they knew they were both thinking the same thing.
They quietly sped walked over and took one last 360 degree turn to make sure there was no one else on the hallway.
The coast was clear.
They opened the locker all the way, excited for if there was a tunnel or something, but what was inside was shocking.
There was a safe inside the locker, on the top shelf.
Nate and Teddy were a few minutes late to Art. Mr. Rosa asked them where they were.
“We, uhhh,” Nate said.
Teddy crossed his arms to think, and noticed the white bandages on his hand.
Teddy said “I was at the nurse, getting bandages for my hand, and Nate came with me,” he said, holding up the gauze-wrapped hand.
“That’s okay,” Mr. Rosa said.
Nate and Teddy walked over to their usual table where Francis was waiting for them.
“Okay, I know that you wrapped your hand in those bandages yesterday when you cut your finger making the wooden cars for Junior woodchucks, so what’s up?” Francis asked.
Teddy recapped the story while Nate sat, thinking.
When Teddy finished, Francis was astonished, and a grin broke out his face.
“I was studying in the library—something you guys clearly didn’t use your free period for—and I think I found the first number!”
Beautiful brown hair, a perfect button nose, and a voice like that of an angel’s. He could look at her all day, thinking about how great it would be if they…
“Hey Nate? You still with us?” a voice rang out.
Nate snapped out of his daydream and shook his head. “Yeah, yeah, sorry. Just trying to figure out this one math problem.”
Francis and Teddy shared a look. They had gotten together with Nate to work on their homework together at Francis’s house, especially since they had a test coming up the next day. Not that Nate was contributing much since he kept on daydreaming.
“Alright, Nate. What’s on your mind?” Francis asked.
“Nothing much, although I think Mrs. Godfrey has gained more weight than usual.” Nate said.
“Dude, that’s not what you were thinking at all.” Teddy said.
“How can you tell?” Nate snapped.
Teddy leaned back in his chair and smirked. “You’ve got that certain look in your eye when you’re thinking about a girl you like.”
Francis couldn’t help but let out a teasing whistle.
“Alright, alright, so I like this one girl in Mr. Staple’s class.” Nate admitted while smiling.
“Who’s the unlucky victim this time?” Francis asked.
“Hey!” Nate snapped angrily.
Francis held up his hands in defense. “Nate, every time you try to flirt with someone you come off as annoying or downright embarrassing.”
“He has a point, y’know.” Teddy stated matter-of-factly.
“That’s why I’ve got an idea on how to get her to go out with me.” Nate said with a mischievous twinkle in his eye.
Francis and Teddy looked at one another, and wondered what kind of shenanigans Nate was going to get himself into.
“Well, can you at least tell us her name?” Teddy asked, turning back to face Nate.
“Her name is Ella. She’s new here.” Nate said as he leaned forward to rest his arms on the table.
“Well, what’s your plan?” Francis asked, tilting his head.
FOX News (I’m so sorry kid, but I don’t want any trouble for tomorrow)
This is an emergency podcast, because I haven’t seen anyone podcast, and I really want to try and avoid an argument, so here we go again…
Today has been really interesting.
For on topic comments some people think it’s average, like around 6-8/10. This was a mediocre strip, but it’s a bridge for the nest 3 days.
For off topic comments, we have a return of fanfics! Feel free to check that out, they’re very interesting & creative. Also, a few polls have popped out, but an incident deleted one of them. Hopefully the poll pops up again!
I might talk to Sonic ‘bout making this evening news, since I’ve noticed that I mostly post these in the evening.
That’s all I have for today. Nos vemos en Viernes :)

How sharp are tacos. And tortillas are kind of soggy, so unless it was a frozen taco or something, how can it create a permanent scar?
5/10 Average strip. Not good, not bad, just average. When will they serve justice?

Another good argument for making tacos with a soft tortilla, as we do South of the Rio Grande. They are harmless and food-fight friendly.
