Hate is stronger than simply “not like”, and the only person to actually hate Gina is Nate, whom Gina hates as well.
This just keeps getting worse.
Why is this being dragged out for three days straight? I can understand Nate making Gina uncomfortable with wanting to know why nobody likes her, but you only need one comic and one funny joke for that. Otherwise, everything just comes to a standstill.
it’s kinda getting dragged me think we’re gonna get a lame ending
Arrogance, for one…
It’s been four days and there is no reason why everyone dislikes Gina. I mean, it’s obvious but it shouldn’t take this long for some action.
3/10 This is proof that Peirce can take a great idea for an arc and turn it into stretched-out boring filler. At least it’s not the 2017 Valentine’s Day arc. That went on for two months.
Couldn’t Gina just move to a different school?
Quite excited to see where this goes…
The whole list would take 2 generations to write so here’s a short version 1: Gina’s always bragging about her grades(Out of all things that’s what you brag about? A container full of rusty nails would be more impressive). 2: Gina’s always telling on Nate(Nobody likes a tattle-tale.) 3: She’s always finding ways to embarrass Nate(Probably trying to hide her own flaws. For example She took this long to realize people hate her.). I’m going to go play chess now, but as Nate says, the list never ends!
The main part of this arc has to be tomorrow. If not that, then this is probably a 2 week arc, and by that time, the climax will hopefully happen during that time.
Get to the point already.
Also, Ramadan Mubarak!
He does have answers.
i thought this arc would be good until Nate showed up out of nowhere bro..
Keep in mind hate and Nate rhyme!
Get to the point already!
Jerks jerkng jerks.
This is bringing Nate sooooooo much joy.
Can you hurry up and tell her already, Nate? Also, where did Dee Dee go? Wasn’t she the person who got asked that question initially?
Strip rating: 4/10 I’m starting to get impatient with this arc now. Two days left. Peirce, don’t mess up tomorrow’s comic.
Remember how serious the first strip in this storyline looked? Yeah, me neither.
this just keeps getting worse 4/10
Gina is not wrong. But she must also understand how Nate in this case could only have benefits. He might be able to convince her to stop having a blast ruining his life as much as possible
Time to get the arc moving.
Delivery for Nate: One shovel for the hole-digging he’s been starting here. …
While Nate may have a bias, nonetheless, if a reasonable discussion takes place, Gina might get some info that might be helpful. Can’t hurt. At least he is telling it in person to her face rather than scathing attacks behind her back….
Hi guys i know but Nate is trying to help Gina for once.
a noticeable pattern in big nate strips is that they start off with a great idea for a strip but it slowly rolls down hill as the week progress
These are great and all but I yearn from the days when I’d open my mouth and a laughing sound would come out
NATE JUST SAY IT SAY WHY EVERYONE HATES GINA DON’T prolong it peirce
this strip wouldve been great but nate just keeps doing the same thing
…that was I not me.
You’re not helping, Nate
It WAS good before. I shouldn’t have kept my hopes up.
Y’all remember the times when the arc was sometimes about Nate’s comics?Pierce should probably do more of that bc the arcs with the actual characters are getting dry and boring.
Basically, they are just standing there talking with Nate just arguing about whether to give insight or not.
pierce is just stalling
The reason I don’t find many of the post modern Big Nate strips funny is because Big Nate used to have varied jokes that built on each other. The story would progress so you had different jokes all the time. here it just feels like it’s the same joke with static progression. We’ve been here for 3 strips now, and the punchline is obvious.
Plus, it’s so meandering. Nate, you’re asking her if she wants to know. Just spit it out!
I know this is a joke first strip, and I don’t wanna whine too much, but it would be nice if sometimes the obvious punchline would be skipped on for a more interesting joke. This arc is just “Nate making fun of Gina” over and over again. Just to give an example, there’s a “Nate’s Locker” arc from the 2000’s I believe where the jokes range from “Nate ignoring Gina” to “Nate has a bad excuse for Mr. Galvin” to “Nate shocks someone with his locker’s capabilities”. This arc is “Nate mocks Gina” “Nate hates teachers”, “Nate mocks Gina”, and it’s barely any different.
4/10, because it’s not a bad joke persay, just a tired one.
