I never quite understood the purpose of a monocle. Are you supposed to close the other eye when you use it?

The question is how and why it ended up on the dog’s eye. Kind of far out.

Guess I’m missing something. I get the cone of shame and I know what a monocle is but I can’t make the connection Harry is trying for. ????

I assume the eye is being treated for some problem. Patch? on the eye and cone to keep him from scratching it off. Dog does not know what those things are: he calls the cone a lampshade, something he knows. “Monocle” because Bliss knows it’s funny.

Ask if you can get some ice cream with that cone.

The indignity dogs sometimes have to endure.
