The fur colors and the mouths look pretty good, but the ears and the tails are a tough sell.

Incidentally, I am watching a Swedish TV show, “Springfloden”, in which the heroine has a cat called “Elvis”. Not a Siamese, though, and meets a sad end.

Who’s the Elvis impersonator?

Captain’s Log: Stardate 98848.09

I don’t want to alert anyone but I am seeing mice everywhere. They are manning the various stations where the normal crew were, just yesterday. If this keeps up, I will have to seek help.

My only advantage is that most people around here already know that I am eccentric (I’m not crazy, my mom had me tested) and that my mind is a collection of bad jokes and pop-cultural reference that only seem to highlight my age. With luck, any obvious abnormal behavior will be dismissed.

There is one that I should keep be wary of, its my second in command Robin. I don’t trust that Australian Vulcan…its the eye’s…crazy eyes…they are always watching me.

I can’t stop Squealing!!!!! Best April Fool’s ever! The colors even match! Was this planned? 5 years ago? Surely not…? OMC I love this! I mean, OMM [oh my Mouse]. Ok, gotta catch my breath and quit squealing long enough to go back and read the comments and find out that all my thoughts were already voiced and furthermore that cat1963 found some toe beans I missed or deer orchid noticed a BoCH. Nope, don’t care, back to squealing.

That got a big smile out of me this morning. :D

Wait, I just figured out that’s Buzzy Mouse! Super close up sighting of Buzzy Mouse! Squeeeeee!!! And I just noticed that the mice’s eyes are different colors. In fact, one must be albino (white with red eyes). No doubt these have already been pointed out by other fans, but I’m too excited to read the comments. Gotta stare at the mice some more, I mean cats, definitely cats. “Meow.”

In the final panel, i’m not sure who that is, but whoever they are, they are doing an excellent Elvis impression, and the one playing lupin is also rather spot on.

This just in: People around the world lose minds in paroxysm of reaction to cuteness of April Fool’s Day comic.

Love this. Some of us have troubles naming each mouse. I wonder if this is a tease from Georgia, like the time with the “you can name four seasons, you should be able to name four mice”. All I know for certain is that Natasha and Lupin are both white and both beings of adventure.

So…does “Puck” only have three legs still?

believe it or not i fell for it…i’m here shaking my head and muttering to myself …‘huh’ something seems off….then i see Georgia’s date at the bottom of the last panel…. I’M FOOLED…!

I laughed out loud! Thank you Georgia! Must go back and look closely at each panel now. I swear I spend a lot of time on this comic – the first read thru and then a slower savor each panel read thru (noticing more of the art work/cleverness) and then a file look/read thru. and maybe one more just to get the “full effect” once I’ve taken in all the wonderfulness. And each pass is usually with a laugh, a squeeee!, an awe, or a “feel good”.

Agnes (the gold mouse?) drew on those “stripes” didn’t she??

I may be blind as a bat, but I bought all the “cats” till Elvis. Then I went back and saw what she did there. My excuse is that I read the words first and then go back to appreciate the art. I am waving my excuse wildly here.

Serious suggestion. If Elvis has a real issue with irritability, ask your vet about giving him gabapentin. Just started our Burnie on it and it seems to be mellowing him out. He still has his essential spicyness.
