Panel 2 Iggy is like: “Let me go!”. Panel 3 he looks so content. May take a bit to convince Orza to put away her tiny daggers though.

Looks like the beginning of a beautiful relationship…..Only Ora has to be nice and get used to BPH love!

C’mon Man! Save the Woman from the Talons of Tortitude! Can you at least pry the little devil off her face?!

So now we get to see who gets to deal with a kitten in Full Defensive Mode. Will it be the Man, trying to grab a whirling ball of teeth, claws, and tortitude? Or will it be Baba Mouse, with the time tested Kitten Flattening Paw and grandmotherly “Knock it off, kid.”?

I like Beatrix’s realization in panel three that the escapees she overheard the People talking about are maybe not crazed killers.

The Woman is experiencing a developing cat-astrophe…

Those claws are tiny, but you still feel them.

Since the kittens can apparently understand human speech, I don’t think that kitten would have attacked The Woman in the last panel.

Looks like the Man is wearing a nice flannel shirt..take it off and corral the little claw machine into a Tortie burrito until she calms down enough for Baba to soothe her fear.

Iggy seems so content in panel three! And The Girl is loving the chaos in panel 4. I suspect she and Ora will be great friends.

I love the look on Iggy’s face, his back legs crossed, and how he has kinda’ made himself small in panel 2 … panel 1 is a great BOCH with Baba and her kerchief.

Ora Zella certainly does not hide her emotions.

The moment of meeting! I am glad the Woman got Iggy first, he clearly needs some love, and his expression in panel 3 warms my heart. Meanwhile, good to see the Woman is signaling for help in panel 4, Ora Zella on top of another cat and a toddler is a lot to handle. Also, I am very curious about what the Girl is doing. It almost looks like she’s waving to her father, but perhaps the wave is meant for the many “mow mows” around.

I had a scared cat do exactly that. Run in terror and then calm right down when he was caught and hugged.

How does Georgia get so much expression into little kitty faces. In panel 2 little boy kitty is all scrunched up into a protective shell that clearly says “I am doomed!” In the next panel,it’s as if he’s saying, “Dare I hope I am finally safe.” In the final panel, he’s saying, “OH NO! Please friend kitty! DO. NOT. SPOIL. THIS!”

He’s not an escapee. He’s a free range cat.

When my sister had her tortoiseshell cat, she had to lock the tiny beast in the bedroom when visitors came over. She’d attack them.

“Little escapees”! How wonderful

Oh, Woman, you were in over your head when you first took in a cat! After that it’s just a headlong dive.

that is now my new favorite word for claws “little daggers”

Well, at least the Girl is enjoying herself.

And on today’s episode of When Animals Attack we has a cruel cat viciously attacking a hapless woman and her little child. Stay tuned for interview of the victims and survivors of this horrific attack.

I keep reading the last panel as: Unhand my fiend, unknown friend! I have to really concentrate to read it the correct way.

OMC! The Girl’s transition from out cold, through sleepy-eyed curiosity at Iggy, to reveling in Ora’s chaos! Not to mention all the other perfect expressions as each character processes new info/the developing situation. I am in awe of Georgia’s skill as a visual storyteller . . . as usual.

First Contact began well, however, it has hit a snag …

Ouch! Those dagger claws can really sting.

I have to say, it’s kind of a relief to hear everyone talk about torties like this. I thought our cat was just psychotic. Now I know most all torties are.

Quite a few thoughts here. Glad I can finally space them

The first three panels are just.. pure lovely and show why The Woman is so likeable (as is georgia herself) She’s gentle, patient and kind to poor little iggy and helps coax him out.

That said the last panel was genuinely hilarious, from the “over my head over my head over my head” and it sure dosen’t feel nice, to Ora’s comments having the same energy to me as “strange female you are unknown to me!”

Dagger claws, pft. I believe it was Reaky (actual name Reak because was told we couldn’t have a fifth Streak) who I joked about the different claws he had. He had the habbit of beheading, disemboweling, and dismembering mice and joked about him having an ice pick claw, a guilotine claw, and a number of other deadly instrument claws

Who originated the phrase “pointy bits”? That’s what we called claws, regardless of age and size.

Nothing on earth is sharper than kitten claws. They are literally little needles.

Albert had a slight flaw in his character. He hated having his claws clipped, so he often had wicked little hooks.
