I get it, Pucky. Everyone finds new stuff at least a little scary. But you’re gonna have so much fun exploring those new rooms when you get to them…
But Pucky! Dragons are wonderful, mythical creatures (or so they want you to believe the mythical part) and are nothing to fear. You’re gonna love them.
Well Puck, get Goldie on the case, because there are many local viewers who, to answer your question, have been there. Iggy and Ora Zella were there during a rainstorm. Sophie drew a very detailed map. Several mice have been frequent visitors.
Sweet Puck, the dragons in the new rooms are quite friendly, and possibly figments of your imagination.
My great-granddaughter Saphira (oldest one) is coming over today to spend some time with me. We are going to make chocolate cake from scratch, and maybe a brown sugar chess pie in honour of pi day.
Aw, Puck, I bet the new addition will have plenty of sunspots. Besides, if it is possible there are dragons, it is equally possible the new addition has HAM.
Love it! The ancient map makers used dragons for places that were unknown. Also late auther Sharon Kay Penman wrote a brillian book about medivel Wales entitled “Here be dragons”
Oh, Puck. We all know you’ll be the first to make friends with dragons, just as you did with the ghost cats and every other critter that has entered your lives.
“Here be Dragons” was a good book I read many years ago. I think it is tucked away in my bookshelf somewhere. If so I suppose it is only right that I re-read it :D
Sunday’s map showed 9 cats and 4 mice. Plus there’s a dog somewhere. Please, no more permanent characters. It’s too hard to keep track of who’s who.
Oh, please let’s “Here Be Dragons” be an actual thing. Like those little gray lizards my grandparents had. Their cat seldom went outside, but the result of those few excursions was that all the little “dragons” had had their tails snapped off getting away from Yen.
(He probably considered it an improvement; he’d lost half of his own tail as a kitten in a kitchen cupboard door accident.)
When I was down the rabbit hole last week looking at old strips I ran into one where Puck spilled coffee over the whole news desk and he used the phrase “it’s a whole thing”. Don’t know if it means something special or even where it is now – can’t find it :(
Does anyone remember the strip where we saw the overhead view of the apartment? I though it was the one where Lupin has paint on his paws, but that was just the living room.

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
Ms Sebayt: Class, let’s get in line to go down to the litter rooms!
Chaos all around
Beatrixia: This is why there’s no Cat Roundup at rodeos!
Ms Sebayt: Let’s all line up so we have time to hear the story!
Gradually the kittens line up
Iggy: May I help?
Ms Sebayt: By all means.
Iggy: Hello class! My name is Iggy Shipwright. I used to sail the seven seas.
Kitten Geb: Can you read us a sailing scroll?
Iggy: I think I can do that if it’s alright with your teacher.
Ms Sebayt: What do you think, class?
General shouts of “Yes!” etc.
Iggy: Now let’s go to the litter rooms like a sailor. Can we swim?
Class: No!
Iggy: Can we row?
Class: No!
Iggy: Can we march like soldier and sailors?
Class: Yes!
Iggy: Alright! Let’s get in line and march! Hup, two, three, four!

Some cats are adventurous. Puck and Elvis are very reluctant, poor guys.

I hadn’t been reading for much of 2022. When last October was that “secret” door discovered? And were there similar doors on the other floors?

The Dragons have been mis-identified , they are really Unicorns .

It’s okay, Pucky. To paraphrase what Sallah said to Indy “New rooms. Very dangerous. You go first.”

Dragons? Oh, Pucky, you should be so fortunate. That’s a storage area for doubt and uncertainty.

Cats have an approach/avoidance thing going on with new rooms. They hate not having access and fear what might be there.
Miss Mina about 2 years ago
Remember Puck, the new rooms will smell like buttermints and 80s bath toys. Elvis said so, so it must be true!

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
