Just beyond adorable to see Elvis with his best buddy. Not to mention Puck doing his version of the crane techique? Mr Miyagi woud be so proud.

Velcro Elvis lives to report another day! Pucky deserves a medal, and also ham. Maybe a medal made out of ham?

Puck is a Certified Hero facing the vacuum, stopping it in time for the Woman to rescue Elvis. Elvis may be ’Mamma’s Best Boy’, but Puck is the Best in the Hero Category.

I love the buddy bond between Puck and Elvis.

Siamese have a reputation for being “Velcro” cats.

What Puck says in the last panel about doing what anyone would do? That’s what makes him a Hero.

Elvis! You’re breaking my heart!

That best buddy part always warms my heart.. as does elvis clinging to both his mom and favorite sibling. Granted it’s not exactly a contest at this point given the other one likes to constantly make old age digs and get naked, but it’s still sweet how close the two are.

Is Elvis too cat-atonic to poof?

Elvis is clinging like a limpet. He needs chamomile and/or catnip tea.

Somehow I can’t see Elvis velcroing himself to Lupin.

Elvis certainly has mastered the face hugger technique. Not as impressive as Puck’s heroism and combat techniques, but still interesting.

Iggy: I think we did a nice job on this musical instrument.

Wally: If we do say ourselves.

Iron Glove: I think I can create a set of tools for these.

Ora Z: And it makes such a pretty sound. Look at the different sounds it makes after I hit it with these different pieces of wood.

Mandy: Those are called mallets. In fact there’s a whole line of instruments called mallets.

Whisk: I can play drum!

Lynn: Looks like we have the makings of a percussion band. There’s plenty of room in the pyramid for a second studio if anyone’s interested.

Ora Z: I like making percussion instruments.

Lynn: What do you want to call the one you and the guys made?

Ora Z: The guys all helped. I’d like to call it the X, Y, Z phone!

Iggy: The Xyzlaphone! So be it!

And it’s pronounced zylophone.

Yes, Elvis, you are the best. And heroic Pucky is so modest.

I have really liked this week’s strips

So, the kittens are becoming a little more distinct: there are one black, one grey, one grey and white and one black and white. The grey and white one is already spoken for, and I’ll be keeping either the grey or the black one, depending on which one is male.

Elvis and Puck. When Puck was adopted, Elvis was the only cat and he immediately became Dad Cat to Puck. It’s so nice this has lasted.

Elvis turned into a face-hugger! But he’s an adorable one. And he’s got friends to help him through the trauma.

The Cat lies on its back in a pet bed, broken toys in disarray, eyes wide in unseen terror while the Doors plays softly in the background.

Focus pulls out to reveal a slowly spinning ceiling fan. The slow motion of the blades makes whop- whop- whop noises.

The horror… the horror…

The blades morph onto the beater bar of the vacuum cleaner, scraping the carpet in the same slow motion rhythm, myriad particles of dirt and dust swirl up like smoke into the gaping, relentless screaming maw of destruction…

Elvis isn’t turning into the Alien, is he?

Do they always say “CN News?” Isn’t that redundant? Or is it supposed to be Cat Network News (unlike the name of the strip)?

I’ve seen a frightened cat like being held. Our Otis, lifelong indoor cat, went out the front door when he was about 10. I found him around the corner hiding under a bush. He let me carry him back into the house without a struggle. He normally writhed, bit, and hissed if you picked him up.

“I’ll hold it off!” Cleaned all day today. I’ll be vacuuming tomorrow. My good boys will be hiding for a bit too. But I’ll make sure that they need to hide by the “hidey hole baby boys, hidey hole!” before I vacuum.

I love the whispered corrections Elvis makes: “best boy” and “best buddy.” I just couldn’t remember the story the situation occurred in.
