Having you best gal pals sit with you and trash talk that cheese-loving weasel is, imho, much better therapy than sighing in bed all day. Also, Natasha needs some more unflattering photos, like maybe Wesley chewing with his mouth open, or picking his nose.
Awww. Meanwhile the rest of the cats are holding down Elvis and ora zella from rampaging their way to wesrlys house. Elvis because his friend crush and college is hurt and ora because poppas letting her break knees.
My friend Leia believed in Jewish drug therapy, namely, “Eat. You’ll feel better.” When an engagement failed, she brought food so we could eat and kvetch.
And lemme knows when thees meeserable melodramas is over. Me ain’t watching thees unbearable b-latherous soapy dangnabbits drowsy drama no more. Nopes. Nopes. Nopes.
I agree with MI horn. This place has helped me during some rough and wipe-out times…heart surgery, hip replacement. tree falling in my yard, and birthdays and death anniversaries of loved ones. So let us know when you need us and we will be there for you. Honest.
Remember those old-time peddlers? The ones who’d travel around with a wagon-load of useful gewgaws to sell or trade? Gutter could load a little red wagon up with all sorts of interestingly shaped and colored things, and then just happen to pass by the BPH, perhaps getting the attention of Tommy…
I’m glad the Robber Mice are there to offer a fresh perspective on Wesley and help assuage Sophie’s grief. Also Tommy, to provide the necessary ice cream.
Just don’t overdo the carbs, Sophie – sis’s old boss Onyx (& I) would tell you diabetes is no fun! (OTOH, maybe they’re cat-safe carbs in this case, which makes them OK…)
OT. I just lost one of my grey girls tonight, that’s what I called my two cats that I’d had together for over 9 years now. Not the one pictured in my avatar here, but the older of the two, my Annie took ill suddenly. She was 17 years old. I inherited her from a friend back in Dec of 2014. She was a good girl and although old seemed in good health. The vet didn’t find anything wrong at her checkup back in January. Last night she started crying out in pain, but she seemed to get over it after I petted her. Today she seemed fine until this evening when she began crying in pain again. I rushed her to the emergency vet across town but she died soon after. It’s so hard to lose them, and this totally blindsided me. I will miss her sweet head bops.

Girl Power. Ice Cream, and sneezing pics of your ex. That should certainly put our Sophie right again.

And perhaps a visit with some pretty trash from an equally heart-broken raccoon?

All ladies together. Except Tabitha nad Goldie as they’re too tough for this. And can’t get into that apartment.

I wonder if Sophie has discovered Our IX Lives yet. If not, perhaps the mice can introduce her. Better for her to swoon over Kit Chase.

Geez. Not them pesky pestilential pestiferous pestering pests again. All useless cats here. Not one of em is pounces upon mangy mice and eats them.

Sue Chef: Looks like we have a plan to propose to the Universities. I know some of our apprentices would love to learn new cheese making techniques.
*Violet-Ifa: And maybe we could have a dual major of cheese making and cheese taking.
Alvina: Do you think any of your students would like to join the Double Down rolling team?
Ta-Natash: I can think of a certain smol tortoise shell who would love to have a go.
Agnes-Ata: But the games would never be the same.

3rd panel with crying Sophie (mew-hoo-hoo – best cry ever!) is the saddest BCN scene since the burial of the BPH’s original cat.

Sophie actually has a small smile in the last panel. Her heart may be healing.

How do I mend a broken heart?
My entire world has fallen apart.
How do I find hope in a brand new day,
when the one I love has gone away?
My mind overflows with memories of you,
of all that we’ve shared, all that we knew.
I long for your touch and your warm embrace,
the look in your eyes, the smile on your face.
My dreams are filled with your soft gentle kiss.
I wake and cry for all that I miss.
How do I mend a broken heart,
when my one true love and I are apart?
My heart knows to love only you, it won’t let go, what do I do?
Our moments together were precious and few.
but I cherished them all more than you knew.
I love you, my angel, and always will.
I loved you then and I love you still.
