Business axiom (axiom = self-evident truth): There’s no such thing as a reasonable profit. You either make a killing or you loose your shirt.

If the big shots would take a little less, they wouldn’t have to “restructure” and lay off thousands. You could pay the yearly salary of many of those people with just the bonus the big man gets.

Sadly, when I look at my resume I notice that most of my former employers are no longer in business… but their C-level executives assure me that’s alright because they all had nice golden parachutes…

Yep, that’s how it works. Somehow much of the population has been sold on the idea that the best thing for everyone is having everyone in it for themselves — and further, that if a few people can make it really big, then it’s your fault if you don’t. But that ideology assumes that the playing field is truly level everywhere and at all times, which it ain’t. So — see ya, suckas!

Remember Sears…………….Toys R Us? Hedge funds should be taxed out of existence. Stock buybacks used to be called (correctly) market manipulation.

Hey Brain, why not stay, giving yourself a retention bonus? (You can leave just a few months after you get that!)

Pity that the “golden parachute” class isn’t required to jump from the top of the HQ building while wearing a parachute made of actual gold at least 1mm thick.
