BrainWashed! The Manchurian Calvin!
all knowing hobbes has all the info you need
Selective memory at it’s best!
YOU still are brainwashed………..
Can your time machine help?
How can a six-year old think so much? I used to think some weird things as Calvin does but this one is way above my standards.
Ahh.. childhood amnesia at it’s best. Then one day you’re going to be 15 and thinking, “where was I when I was six!?”.
were they washing the brain matter he kept burping up?
Where is Marg again?
I think there is a reason we don’t remember our youngest years.
This doesn’t only happen in so young years! It happens until highest age!! Ha, ha…..
What’s to remember? Eat, sleep, poop, throw-up!
You’d be surprised what I remember from about age one (not three) up. Really. My earliest clear memories are from my second year. By that time I was watching dust motes in the sunlight from my crib… and apparently understanding what they were on some level.
My memories from that time aren’t numerous, however… and I’ve forgotten so much of my life since that I might as well be brain-dead, not brainwashed. :)
I don’t remember anything that young. Little bits before big K and that’s to long ago. Due to something tramatic.
Hobbes left out the other “end” of the deal.
I have a couple of very clear memories from about 2 years of age, but no real context for them. The moon seen through the window of an airplane at night, and some colorful toys at grandma’s house. I’m guessing these were not particularly special moments but just points along the brain’s development timeline.
It’s its, not it’s! It’s not cr’it’ical; it’s the its! :o)
I thought Hobbes was captured by Calvin using a tuna fish sandwich as bait. He wasn’t around when Calvin was an infant.
moronbis - sometimes Watterson just wanted to “wax poetic” and Calvin was handy…just like the artwork - he really COULD draw/paint…when Calvin gets into space, for example…
I remember, I was lieing in my baby carriage and a big face looked into it, laughed, and saied ba, ba, do, do, dideli and so on. It was my uncle, but I didn’t know that.
Aw, Hobbes, you remember everything!
Truth told, I don’t remember much before 30.
DroptmaStyx- you forget, Hobbes is a figment of Calvin’s imagination and therefore retains everything assumed, remembered or learned by Calvin.
Calvin, just imagine, three years before you were completey brain washed. Now it is only 50 %.
Yeah grazer, same here!
AH only to be young again..
He is Calvin Bourne!
I’ve forgotten way more than I ever knew … I think!!!!!
i think hobbes belonged to calvins mom & was passed on to him. didn’t i read that in strip at one point. i have been a fan for a long time! lol if i am right hobbes was there to see him do all three of the “P“‘s! lol
Somebody should have explained to Calvin, the things he does not remember, terrible not remembering every thing.
…Calvin…why don’t you spend some time playing some solitaire…
So, how old was Calvin when he got Hobbes?
I remember breaking my wrist when I was 2 and a half trying to impress my grandmother. It’s my earliest memory. I hear that when you’re really old you remember your early childhood much better. My other grandmother did at least. She grew up in rural Quebec long before they invented automobiles. I would have loved to hear those memories.
Hobbes probably remembers the (b)urping because it landed on him a lot while other bodly functions were more contained.
Now I wonder how much time I spent burping up!
your dad brainwashed you
