@Susan Newman: Did you read Sunday’s Calvin and Hobbes strip? Calvin’s Mom had reason and common sense when she ran out in the rain to get Hobbes at the school-bus stop. She also showed love and compassion for Calvin.
Calvin is a deconstructionist, a nihilist, an elitist,an anarchist and a royalist depending on the day and activity. He is also like a certain commenter who is a political poster, spouting drivel about things unrelated to the subject at hand and based on initial impression rather than a study of “real” facts.
But the beautiful, the talented in entertainment, the celebrities ALL get taken advantage of by accountants, lawyers, etc. if they don’t learn how NOT to be taken advantage of. Look at all the actors, rock stars, sports legends, etc. that lost hundreds of millions of dollars because of sneaky folks like the aforementioned. Proverbs 23:5 “Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.”

I love the way Hobbs looks in panel 3.
So now I know what Calvin went on to do when he grew up. He’s on the H2 Channel talking about ancient aliens.
