From the start, like others, I’ve thought this was a strange thread. If you made a list of animals Calvin would totally love, dinosaurs and tigers would be tied for first, but I’d have thought bats would make the top ten…
There are a lot of bats in our neighborhood and they can be quite active just after sunset. My kids are batty about them. They would go out every night to watch them if we could.
Bats are big bugs that look like flying rats. They like hanging around in belfries. (Bellfries are bells you don’t have to pay for.) Watching bats fly in girls’ hair is fun. The best known bats are Batman, Dracula, and baseball. Baseball bats don’t look like flying rats.
