Is there a special place for coats that are wet?

I would have gotten a good swat, had I said that in my mother’s hearing.

In some places, you would be in trouble for that look, Calvin!

When my older daughter was in kindergarten, I would walk to pick her up after school. A lot of kids ran to their mothers & handed the mothers their backpacks. My daughter went to hand me her backpack & I said, “I am NOT your pack mule.”

at least he’s smart enough to not voice it out loud.

Mood for most of my childhood

So many things I never said out loud, growing up…

It makes perfect sense to a kid. Leave the coat by the door and pick it up there the next time you go out.

One mean littler kid.

Boy, would I ever get that grin wiped off my face if I ever glared at Mom like that…

I’ll bet if Calvin had to clean a third of the house, he wouldn’t be saying that!

But Calvin is closer to the floor and all that implies.
