“Nope, that’s just what it looked like.”

This sums up the explanation that Bill Watterson gives for his wonderful strip in The Calvin and Hobbes Tenth Anniversary Book. After stating that he does NOT see Hobbes as either a doll who comes to life nor a product of Calvin’s imagination, he explains, “Calvin sees Hobbes one way. Everyone else sees him another way. I think this is how life works. No two people see the world in exactly the same way.”

I’ve had fantasies of being a famous artist when I was young—but those dreams died many years ago.

wouldn´t it be awesome to really develp photos of dinosaurs there?…. wait… is Calvin´s imagination contagious?

Ah, the days of developed photos……

The film store KEEPS the prize-winning dinosaur shots, and tells Mom, “Sorry; no photos came out.”

Cal is smart, but to remove 35mm film is nothing to play with, loading or unloading. He may have lost a couple. We’ll see.

Mom learned it’s best not to ask questions

If you could time travel and take real photos of dinosaurs or anything from the past. Most people would think they were fake.

But will the pictures be in focus?

I assume the pictures will be of Calvin’s toy dinosaurs.

They won’t take. Everyone knows dinosaurs are like vampires it will just photos of you and Hobbes.

Just think, if Calvin had a smart phone at the time, he could have taken videos! Talk about instant fame and fortune! That’s just what the world would have needed, a young lad with Calvin’s imagination with an unlimited financial stream, public acclaim, and access to social media!

Was this back from when cameras had film that needed developing?

Ah, the days when you had to take your film to get developed and then wait days for the pictures to be created …

Calvin, you should have went to see Marshall, Will, and Holly.

Fella, you will get a tail from fbi, l guess. Time magazine can take its time for coughing.

Should have taken a Polaroid camera. You know how time travel cuts across magnetic fields, generating Cherenkov radiation that fogs film, right?

They are all pictures of Hobbes face. And we all want those

Wouldn’t it be funny if there were pictures of dinosaurs?

LOL… the world would freak out if the film actually showed dinosaurs !

developing film… ah, those were the days.

We keep getting richer. but we can’t get our picture. on the cover of the Rolling Stone.

National Geographic will love the pics.
