He lied about the coin toss to receive the kickoff. Want to be a hunter? Play on defense!

Why is it called football when you’re carrying it in your hands most of the time?

“Ok, since you chose tails, I win.”

“Tails, I win, Heads, you lose.”

“(There’s no way I can lose with this two-headed coin.) Pick a side.” “Heads.” “… Are you sure?”

I love these Sunday comics when Calvin and Hobbes are playing rough. The drawings are impeccable too!

Never mind the ducks. It’s all about the pigs and their kin. Well, their pigs’ kin.

Calvin gets to keep his forward progress, Hobbs. I’m assuming Calvin was on the field when Hobbs started his tackle. Otherwise, Hobbs just got a safety.

LOL… Calvin needs a referee to blow the whistle in order to stop the play.

I think a coin flip like this actually happened in a NFL game between the Lions and the Steelers. As a fan of the Lions, I see nothing wrong with Calvin’s strategy! :0)

Actually football is a game (imho) because it involves two contestants trying to beat one another and not some arbitrary measure like time or distance.

My understanding is he was down at the point of contact. First and ten Calvin, somewhere on his side of the field. Plus maybe a penalty for unnecessary roughness.
