Fortunately, for us on this side of the fourth wall, Calvin’s a hilarious treat.

Snearly as bad as my teen kid’s was.

I’ve never seen any comic-strip teen who has that kind of expression. Come to think of it, they generally have no expression at all!

The idea of Calvin as a teenager is horrifying.

When I was a kid I was always told my face would freeze that way. Be careful Calvin.

A head start on being a teenager? He should read Wikipedia from front to back. Then he’ll know everything.

That sneer is nearly as bad as front facing Moe Sislack

When Calvin DOES become a teenager, his attitude to girls will be very different. Whether it will be for better or for worse is left to our imaginations.

Calvin’s practicing to be a professional critic. He’s always talking about what people are doing wrong.

This is sneerious business!

I have mentioned before that I have recently become a fan of the Canadian animated cartoon Total Dramarama and that the characters of Izzy and Duncan both remind me of Calvin. Izzy seems a lot like a female Calvin would be while Duncan is like Calvin in many ways but is more of a bully than Calvin ever is and is sometimes very mean towards both Cody and Harold.

I am now aware that the little kids in Total Dramarama are younger versions of teenage characters from an earlier animated called Total Drama Island which has been revived with new teenage cartoon characters since Total Dramarama ended in 2021.

OK, now do a Biden sneer.

Perfect! I wonder how many sneers Bill drew before this one.

Yeah, developing a authentic sneer and a sophisticated look of ennuyé in High School was hard work!

Don’t think that Calvin thinks far enough ahead to envision being a teenager.

I’m amazed what Bill does with just a little curvy line.

I never developed a sneer, although I could have used one to get out of several social occasions.

If you want to dry up a conversation, try not wearing deodorant

I tried the Sneer Method to discourage fellow employees from interrupting my work flow at my last job. It failed horribly.

Actually, he looks as though he as an internal problem somewhere…maybe some Pepto Bismal would help.
