You’re confusing dogs with cats
She’s got nothing to complain about with Grandma spoiling her the whole time.
She got a faulty pup there. Mine would’a wrestled me to the floor with happiness.
I got back from a month-long “three-day trip” to Texas on business. As the trip was extended again and again, I would get anxious calls from the catsitter asking when I was going to be home.
When I finally returned, Kirby (pictured in my avatar) rushed out to greet me. While normally a silent cat, he meowed for fifteen solid minutes telling me how glad he was to see me, about all that had happened while I was gone and how Johnny Depp never listened to him, even though I had left Kirby in charge.
Kirby and I both looked for thirty minutes before Johnny Depp came out from under the house and sauntered over in a disinterested way.
“It’s me. Johnny. Good to see you, big guy.”
“Huh. If it were really you, you’d know where the food is.”
“Oh, yes, of course. C’mon in.”
It was a couple of hours before he forgive me officially and the three of us went on a walk through the neighborhood together.
I don’t think this will last long… only until the next treat time. Out of the cats that I’ve had, only one didn’t seem to happy when we got home from vacation, but I think it was because she was scared of the sudden noise after a week of silence. The night we would return, she’d be all over us, demanding attention.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Wednesday! Have a great day, all!
We had our sweet little girl for 17 years and were never parted from her a single day (or night) that entire time. Even when she was spayed at around 4 months of age, she came home the same day she had her surgery. She never spent time in a kennel, nor did she ever go to doggie daycare. If we were going to be gone 2 or more hours and she couldn’t go with us, then my mother “baby-sat” for us until we got back. She had seizures for 16 of her 17 years (not to mention separation anxiety issues) so there was no way in the world we were going to leave her behind with completely random strangers and trust that they’d be able to properly take care of her while we were gone. Her health, safety, comfort, and well-being were of the utmost importance to us so we decided that if she couldn’t come along on a trip with us, then we just wouldn’t go either. We had to make a lot of sacrifices for her over the years we had her, but she was our “baby” and worth each and every single one of them! ♥
