I think that Cathy and Irving are being a little bit naive here. Dogs, cats and other animals are like people in a lot of ways, and situations like this is no different: just because they’re the same species doesn’t mean that they’re going to automatically hit it off and become best friends. Some do, yes, while others may take a little bit of time to warm up to each other first. Or, they may never like each other at all no matter how much time passes by.
Vivian and Electra just met each other and should be allowed to slowly get to know each other and become friends in their own way, and in their own time, without Cathy and Irving trying to suddenly force them into a “sisterly relationship” they’re not ready for yet simply because C&I have started dating each other again and want them to be.
