I’m more concerned about her clothes. She looks like a crooked zebra, poor thing. I don’t think people should be able to tell how much money I have based on my clothes, and if they think they can, they’re usually wrong. I see people who have less money wearing flashy designer (or fake) outfits, yet I am happy wearing jeans and a t-shirt. I think most wear what they want, regardless of their bank account status.

Hello Cathy friends! Happy Thursday! Have a great day, all!

These are strips from the Dot-com bust of 2001 when nearly came to be shorthand for “business failure”. It was many years ago, but I remember when a lot of paper fortunes were being made and then lost. The comic strip “Rudy Park” by a pre-Candorville Darrin Bell started with the title character at his start up being told that everything was closing. “Are we gonna get stock options?” asks Rudy. The only reply is, “Out already, we’ve leased this place to Starbucks!”

If I had a dollar for every huckster who got investments based on a nice-looking suit …

That has to be one of the ugliest outfits Cathy has ever tried on. It certainly does not reflect her wealth or lack of it.

There is a lot of wealthy people in this town but I cannot think of any shops selling high-end clothing. I guess if you want to dress to show your wealth you have to shop out of town. I do remember when I was young there were several tailor shops in my home town where you could get tailor-made clothing. Now I cannot think of any towns nearby that even have a tailor shop. And yes, it is jeans and t-shirt/sweatshirt for me for most days. I will wear dress pants and shirt when going to a concert. I still like to dress up for special occasions – but not over the top.

    Have a comfortable Thursday today.

By some weird, circular logic, this one almost makes sense. Imagine that, from our favorite Whack-a-Doodle … She does look rather zebra-like, though, as lightenup said above.

    HI, MOM. Hello, “Cathy” Clan.

Yuck to the outfit and I wear what I want…at my age I dress to be comfortable and don’t really care what anybody thinks anymore.
