Wow, a Bok cartoon that speaks truth. Now what are we going to do about it? Tougher red flag laws? No parental signature without full parental responsibility? Limited to .22 for target or varmit shooting?

Simple; If a parent signs off on a gun sale of someone under 21, and the kid commits a crime, the PARENT spends the SAME TIME IN PRISON AS THE KID!

Red Flag laws and focusing on mental illness won’t solve this. They are a panacea. The gun rights people have beaten it into our heads, a bad guy will always find a way to get a gun and do bad things. As for mental illness, are we going to lock up all the crazy people? This is America the land of individual freedom. We have to do something else.

I have said it repeatedly the little monster should have been in the NICS database. He had a record of making on and off line threats, cops had been called on him several times and he had been referred for mental evaluation. So many red flags. How about we actually use and enforce the gun laws already on the books. Instead of defunding the police, add funds to establish a domestic violence response team to investigate reports of threats and violence by little demons such as in this case. If Arrest, lock up and charge the father as an accessory to murder as he knew darn well how dangerous his son would be with a gun.

And the kid was a leftist. Monk can’t take over fast enough.

Hilarious, too, when that same person called for a “domestic violence response team” when the creation of exactly such a thing has been falsely attacked as ridiculed as some kind of “Liberal” failure resulting in even more crime.

Case in point, contributor Bill Bennet suggested that “exorcisms” should be done to stop the mass shootings. “But I don’t wanna suggest something that would seem farcical to some of your audience,” he said, after host Bret Baier gave him the raised-eyebrow “seriously?” look.

Either Chip Bok had a rational brain implanted to replace his (clearly defective) conservative one before drawing this ‘toon, or somebody has him locked away somewhere and a rational replacement ‘toon creator is working here using Bok’s name.

Whatever has happened, I hope it is permanent.

Funny that people could buy firearms by mail and we didn’t have this problem. Maybe it’s NOT the guns. Maybe it’s something trickier to address.

It’s also telling that you would abrogate Rights that pre-date the Constitution because a tiny fraction of evil-minded people misuse them. There are a few dictatorships around the world that might be more your cup of tea.
