What’s so “funny” is that IF it was men that gave birth, “abortion rights” would have been a SACRAMENTeons ago!!!

“I’ve noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born.” (RR) or “I’ve noticed that everyone who is against abortion has already been born.”

The Left are always trying to redefine what is a Human.

Nowadays They want to redefine what a woman is or isn’t.

They want to define a baby as not-human.

Previous leftists wanted to redefine Jews as Non-Human, or Dems saying Black people were 3/5ths of a person…

Leaving aside christian conservatives ignore what “Birthing Men” really means to ridicule the Transgender community, the funny part is they actually believe man came from a handful of dust, and woman from a rib.

When somebody tells you that a man can have a baby, there is no need to listen to anything else they say. If they will lie to you about something so obvious, you can hardly expect them to be truthful about anything else.

So Chip is deflecting from the fact that Republicans want to destroy womens’ health, and inflict the collateral damage of killing girls and women, and also want them to be locked into their states as prisoners, forcing them to give birth.

Instead, oh let’s all go into debating the trolls on their stupid omphaloskepsis (navel-gazing) BS right-wing talking points by defining “what is a woman” and that right-wing “birthing person” crap.

Meanwhile, Republicans are the Party of sickness, pain, and death, and when they provoke anger and outrage, it’s music to the ears of the trolls and sadists among them.

As far as I can see, only one side of the argument is advocating that women are equal and deserve the right to make their own reproductive decisions, not have the decisions made for them. The rest of the blathering is just smoke and mirrors.

I suggest any woman that wants to make her own reproductive choices be sure to vote in November before that right is also taken away.

What’s interesting to me is that there are a lot of people who don’t feel that the “traditional” gender labels comfortably fit their experience. Me, I’m male and I feel male and I never had any question about it. But I don’t expect my experience to be the standard. I want to know how other people feel, and if they don’t feel comfortable with the “traditional” labels, then I want to try to understand how they feel. I always try to understand before I make judgments. I’ve also thought a lot about how definitions work (as part of my professional work in language and linguistics). I highly recommend a wonderful book by George Lakoff, “Women, Fire, and Dangerous Things”, which explores in great detail the complications of categorization and definition. If people would read that maybe there would be fewer idiotic comments on this topic.

So, come on, define a “baby”. Is a zygote or blastocyst a “baby”? Is a dead, non-viable fetus a “baby” that is worth more than a woman’s (or a girl’s) life, because some right wing politician or bible-thumper says so?

Republicans are a never-ending source of entertaining pain and misery.

Kellogg’s thread was interesting, long and tended to go off on tangents unrelated to the topic of Chip’s ‘toon. Kellogg and others pretty much represented the topic of this ‘toon. However, there were a lot of comments on other stuff specifically political definitions left, right, all of the socialist/Marxist subsets.

I’m a military analyst born of a Democrat, Archie Bunker, racist, father and freewheeling Republican, liberal, conservative mother. Man, what a story that is. Later.

So, regarding left, right, Republicans, Democrats and all of the political spectrum in between, I’ve got a pretty good handle on all sides. So here’s my take.

Republicans are stick in the mud conservatives, pretty much opposed to change for the sake of change and the believe in the rule of law as defined by our Constitution. Yeah, they have their problems but what party doesn’t and of primary importance they support the rights of the individual.

The one, basic, primary thing about the Democrats is that they hate Republicans and are a totally opposition party. They pander to every group but deliver nothing.

Regarding Marxism, Socialism and NAZI/Fascism…they are three sides of the same coin…face, tail and edge. All of them have one basic thing in common in that they control the economy and curtail the freedom of the individual.
