He was indicted by a grand jury on 30 counts of business fraud. You might recall he was listed as “unindicted co-conspirator” when Michael Cohen went to prison…
Actually, half the country did NOT vote for the Orange Traitor. Sadly, that’s because there are a lot of people who don’t vote. Just remember the majority of those that did vote and didn’t have their votes suppressed by the Republicons did not vote for the Orange Traitor.
Just when you think Bok can’t get any more foolish, he limbos under the bar. Not close to 1/2 of the U.S. voted for him, not even close to 1/2 of the electorate. Even if they had, Duh Furor isn’t a king, immune to the law. How sad that Bok, the MAGAts, the Repubs who should know better feel that he’s above the law for some reason.
Half the country didn’t break laws. Furthermore, a grand jury indicts, not a district attorney. Such ignorance of our system destroys any credibility of this cartoon.
He knew that if he waited for the other State DAs with more serious crimes he wouldn’t get as much attention. So he had to go early. Still a crime. Still deserves an indictment.
Mere political animus MUST be the sole driver of any prosecution of Trump by a Democratic D.A.—just as surely as mere racial animus MUST be the sole driver of any prosecution of any Black person by any White Republican D.A.
What on earth is the connection between one’s electoral success (actually, lack of one) and Trump’s possible criminality? Oh, well, for the sake of a joke, sure, even if it is a really dumb joke. His legal problems in Georgia are more clear cut, Georgia has some very explicit and clear laws about corrupting elections. Born from long experience, I suppose.
A Grand Jury heard testimony and saw the evidence. They voted to indict. Trump has the presumption of innocence until the jury renders a verdict. The D.A. will present their evidence, Trump’s attorneys will refute and present their own evidence, and the Jury will decide. That is the way it is supposed to be.
According to the law, a sitting President cannot be indicted. Once Trump lost the fair election, all crimes, federal and state can be adjudicated.
What makes me sick to my stomach is all these elected Republicans suggesting that the rule of law does not apply to trump, because they are afraid of losing his support. It is enough to make me vomit.
I laugh because if the U.S. followed what we preached to foreign nations I don’t think the last 10 elections would be certified by the international body.
Actually, that is true. The regime is not after Trump, they are after his supporters.
The regime just arrested a woman is her 70’s today. Her crime? She was invited and escorted into the capitol on Jan 6th.
If Trump would quit politics, the regime would leave him alone.
The whole Russia Russia Russia Mueller investigation was a total fraud by Clinton and the FBI, but the brainwashed wokes probably still don’t know that.
Bragg ran for his office on the promise to “get Trump”. That’s in-justice at work. Meanwhile, the Biden Family Syndicate who sold out our country to China, Russsia, and Ukraine got millions of dollars from those countries. (Nothing to see here, folks.) But all we hear is “No one is above the law.” Except all the liberal darlings of the Deep State.
Like the idiots who voted for a real traitor like the Chinese owned Joe Biden or all of the so called mailed in fake ballots in democrat states or having the FBI collude with democrats and big tech to hide the truth about the Bidens.
@ChipBok…more comments than likes. So are you in favor of “law & order” looking the other way? While Bragg brings the evidence to the grand jury, the grand jury indicts. Then we’ll have a trial and then a decision. Let Justice Roll.
Sadly people like Bok genuinely don’t understand how criminal trump is. He’s a direct danger not only to our democracy but the security and safety of our country. Trying to stoke a new Civil War is not what we need in a president. The indictments he’s charged with is just the start of his long downfall

That he took the presidency is due to a mere strange fluke in our electoral system within a so-called Democracy.

Unless they paid hush money to a porn star & used it as a tax deduction, there’s nothing to indict them for.

How about the evidence that he committed multiple crimes? The fact that he is a former President is immaterial.

What caused the indictment? Why, Enough substantial evidence to suggest conviction of law-breaking, of course.

Why did Michael Coen go to jail? Any MAGAts want to tackle that?
For doing what his CLIENT told him to do. It was a Crime and Trump was the person who paid for it ( with donated money) AND benefited
If Coen is guilty Trump must be as well.

Legal scholar/expert Bok weighs in.
I’m just kidding, people.
Bok is neither a legal scholar nor an expert on anything.
He does score in the highest percentile of credulous RWNJ nincompoops, however.
So there’s that.
