“We’re going to need a bigger basket.”

Of course, when Hillary Clinton said it she was only referring to certain factions of Trump supporters – the racists, misogynists, homophobes, and so on, those that every other candidate (R or D) would shy away from (at least publicly), but whom Trump openly courted and encouraged. To be a Trump supporter now is either to be a deplorable or to be their ally; “deplorable-adjacent,” if you will; everybody else has been driven out.

Bok, both evaluations are accurate. But not comprehensive.

Anti-democracy can be added to the list. And racist is implied, but should be made explicit.

And, of course, they admire the corruption, sexual assault, and treason.

I just use “bullies” as the short form of the longer description for Trump supporters. Cruel, cowardly, angry, abusive…the word “bully” covers it.

‘Actively rooting for Trump to go down’: Insider says many Republicans are hoping for indictment

Washington Post reporter Carol Leonnig told MSNBC Tuesday that she’s spoken to many Republicans who “actively rooting” for Donald Trump to go down. Host Nicolle Wallace wondered if former Attorney General Bill Barr would have revealed information to Special Counsel Jack Smith about what he knew regarding the classified documents scandal. But, instead of answering the question, Leonnig explained that Barr is “emblematic” of other Republicans in the party.

Mark Meadows testified before grand jury and could be part of Jack Smith’s probe into Trump

Former chief of staff Mark Meadows has been largely quiet recently, New York Times reporter Mike Schmidt told MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace on Tuesday, and they wondered why that might be. As it turns out, Schmidt explained, it’s been discovered that Meadows, a “potentially key figure in inquiries related to Mr. Trump, has testified before a federal grand jury hearing evidence in the investigations being led by the special counsel’s office, according to two people briefed on the matter.”

‘He jerked them around’: Barr smashes Trump’s DOJ ‘witch hunt’ excuse

Bill Barr, once Donald Trump‘s favorite attorney general and the one who was seen as his “faithful protector and personal henchman” for his “willingness to enable Trump’s darkest impulses,” came out swinging against his former boss Tuesday, refuting his “witch hunt” claims, and saying the ex-president “jerked” DOJ around over hundreds of classified and top secret documents he refused to return.“I think if based on the facts, as the facts come out, I think over time, people will say that this is not a case of the Department of Justice, you know, conducting a ‘witch hunt,’” Barr told CBS News Tuesday, ahead of what many believe is an impending indictment on what experts say could include charges of obstruction of justice and charges under the Espionage Act.

Donald Trump has a reason to gloat. “GREAT NEWS FROM LIV GOLF,” he crowed on his Truth Social platform, referring to the Saudi-backed golf league that will be merging with the PGA Tour. A BIG, BEAUTIFUL, AND GLAMOROUS DEAL FOR THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF GOLF. CONGRATS TO ALL!!!”

Families of 9/11 victims blast PGA-LIV merger: ‘We will never forget’

The 9/11 Families United, comprised of family members of victims killed in the Sept. 11, 2011 terrorist attacks, issued a blistering statement on the golf merger, saying that PGA Commissioner Jay Monahan “co-opted” the 9/11 community when he previously characterized LIV Golf as seeking to “sportswash” the Saudi government’s reputation.

I sort of like Nazi, fascist pig. Why not go all out if you want to sling names. When I was young I wore a brown shirt. I was a Boy Scout. Critics: try to be funny. Racial slurs and “despise America” rants do not advance the conversation. “Be Prepared” to be countered if dare to take me on..
