Speaker K McC: “We want to see all the facts, we need to get the facts,” McCarthy said when asked whether he would put forward legislation on guns following the Nashville shooting.According to data from the national Gun Violence Archive, the Nashville shooting was the latest in 130 mass shooting incidents so far this year. When pressed by CNN on what more “facts” he would need, McCarthy refused to answer and left through an exit. As usual, the republicons want to quickly move on to something else, anything else.
The kid is wasting his breath (and his blood) – republicans CAN’T read! They are the epitome of ignorant – if it were not for independents and the occasional perverse democrat, they’d be COMPLETELY “clueless” – as evidenced by the recent statement by U.S. Representative Clay Higgins representing South Louisiana, claiming that “there is no such thing as gun violence, only human violence”.
He is basically stipulating that getting punched in the face is the same, whether it’s with a fist or an AR-15 bullet. I think I can safely characterize that “argument” as “specious”.

Yes, the shooter had mental problems. The major problem was, however, that the shooter had guns.
