Trump is very intolerant toward religious minorities, he calls for a ban on Muslims and promised to survey “Muslim neighborhoods” (do you have a Muslim in our neighborhood?) in the United States. How can we fight for freedom around the globe if we are going to be this intolerant? Isn’t what Trump is suggesting exactly what we are supposed to be fighting against around the world?

Right wingers have always been intolerant, Trump is just giving them permission to be total creeps.

Does anyone else see the resemblance of what is happening today and the fall of the Roman Empire?

Actually Clay is reporting what Trump has been stating in a variety of ways. When discussing terrorists he bluntly says kill them and their families. That’s Trump talking openly, advocating slaughter.

Forget the fall of Rome, it’s more like Hitler’s takeover of Germany.

Neo-Nazi Norwegian who hated immigrants and immigration policy slaughtered 77 people, and got brief mention then, and nearly no coverage today.

Intolerance isn’t exactly new, nor hate, xenophobia, or radical nuts with guns; Texas Tower, Roseburg Oregon, and many others having nothing to do with “foreigners” or Muslims. BTW: German shooter proclaimed himself Christian and GERMAN, and our media still try to make him, though born in Germany, “Iranian”, and Muslim too boot.

I thought we were discussing the basic right to LIFE, which includes the right to move where you want to. There is nothing that is blocking people from entering the country, until you put a ban on “those” people. It is intolerance when you carpet blame one Type of person. If you don’t understand why this is intolerant, maybe you are part of the problem?

DagNabbit, parents were Iranian, probably Shia, which, ISIL is all Sunni, and the Shia hate them. Like the guy in Norway who was a neo-Nazi and hated immigrants, this kid, using the same date as Breivik to honor his legacy, just wanted to kill people and run up the numbers.

The machete attack was NOT terrorism. This is the problem with people like you – if a Muslim is involved you ASSume terrorism. From YOUR link:The motive for the attack is unclear but police said there is no evidence it is terror related.-Your other articles refer to incidents of punk activity and one that quotes one guy who looks at Muslims from your POV.

Trump’s telling Americans which church or temple is correct—that’s the violation of the basic right. He has no business interfering in my relationship (or lack thereof) with god

“So you think you can rehabilitate an Islamic radical?”IRA terrorists were rehabilitated. Zionist terrorists were rehabilitated. Yasser Arafat renounced terrorism. The FALN has renounced terrorism. The evidence is overwhelmingly in favor of the notion that many terrorists will reform if they have other options. From your posts, I rather doubt you think there is any kind of Muslim other than “radical”. That thinking just drives people to the extremists.

None of the cases you cited were radicalised refugees or terrorism related.

The machete attacks: one was mentally ill (train in Wuerzburg), the other was a personal grudge (Reutlingen)

The Munich attack: mentally ill, German-born, obssesed with mass-murders (and Iranian ancestry, Shia, not Sunni).

More:The Nice attack: Not a refugee but a Tunisian with a history of violence, a failed marriage & a massive chip on his shoulder

The latest one where you might have had a debate: the Ansbach attack: except, mental illness and rejection to stay in Germany but granted asylum in Bulgaria, again not an extremist/Islamist-radicalised individual.

You wish to conflate ‘Muslim’ with terrorism in every instance. It is not quite correct now is it? Shall I cite every violent incident in the US, or mass killing, with, say, Christians if any of them profess to be one?

Again, name one case where a refugee, with ties to IS and radicalised, committed terrorism in Europe?

I’d appreciate Bruce answering, if you please.

To conservatives, the only prejudice that counts is being prejudiced against outspoken bigots with violent tendencies.

“Why won’t you tolerate our intolerance?”

The refugees are being crammed into slums which breeds violence; just check history.-Very few refugees qualify to even get to the US vetting process which is very intensive.https://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2015/11/20/infographic-screening-process-refugee-entry-united-states

I didn’t say you had the right to move into any country, I said an intolerant policy would be one where you are not allowed into the country because of – how you look, your religion, where you come from or your sexual orientation. I am not sure what you are still confused about.

‘Is it your point that because no refugee claiming allegiance to ISIS in Europe has committed an act of terrorism that no refugee ever will commit an act of terrorism in the name of ISIS in Europe or the US?’

Bruce4671 said, 1 day ago:‘@Mr Blawtthe Muslim refugees are the ones causing all the trouble in Europe’

As I said, I’d appreciate it if Bruce replied.
