Kevin McCarthy agreed to hold the entire US economy hostage to force cuts to Social Security and Medicare. That’s what he’s agreeing to. Republicans are economic terrorists coming for seniors and people who will someday be seniors. The media needs to report it as such.

Pretending like this is democracy, and “debate.” And that what they’re doing—handing over the House of Representatives to the insurrectionists on the 2nd anniversary of Jan. 6—is part of the great American tradition. And that Kevin McCarthy “allowed” this greatness to happen, rather than having been beaten into submission by the maniacs.

To get there, he only had to ensure that there will be a government shutdown, that the House will vote to cut Social Security and Medicare, and that any member of Congress can call for his removal at any time (including Democrats). So this is going to go well. For Democrats in 2024, that is. The hickey repugs took for abortion in 2022 will be nothing compared to the bloodletting of these cuts.

This clown show are going to kill social security and medicare which I’m betting is propping up a large part of their base. Countries that don’t look after their citizens deserve all the hell that comes their way.

McCarthy never had a “mortal soul” in the first place. If he did, it would be rotten to the core.

Kevin should just change his name to “Charlie” and make it blatantly obvious that he is a ventriloquist’s dummy in the lap of American Fascism.

I would not count the Dems and ‘moderate’ Reps out, they still need only 5 moderates to overturn Kevin’s agenda. Plus they have the Senate and the White House. But I am sure the Loonytoons Caucus will try to smash everything.

The Republican party, by and large, sold its soul, moral, and ethics wholesale in 2016.

Kevin won the speakership on the 15th ballot. It makes me sick! BARF!! He gives credit to the former guy. Double barf!!! The Democrats have a LOT of work to do because, the nut job crazies have hijacked the speaker’s power by making him agree to disgusting concessions that are not in the best interests of we the people.

Just another mess that hurt the people and the country thanks to the Dems. We all knew who the speaker would be. But rather than represent their districts, the Dems always go with party first. See what the party leader says to do and then just do it. Hell, most of the Dems in the last Congress just let Pelosi cast their proxy vote.

Now we can get on with changing the mess in the swamp.

And at the same time, the Republicans don’t mind giving themselves a hefty raise. How? It was buried in one of the bills Congress passed last year and takes effect this year. Nice, huh?

He didn’t have a soul to start with, but the Insurrectionists got everything they wanted.

What’s really scary is he’s 3rd in line to be president should something happen…..

Well, on the bright side, the adults have control of the Senate.

Trump gave it back because it is shrunken and ugly, too repulsive even for The Despicable Dingleberry.

Gaetz said he gave to McCarthy because he ran out of things to ask for.

1. A prayer by the chaplain.

2. Pledge of Allegiance.

3. Vote to recall the Speaker.

Screw the GQP and every Maggot in America.

I hope all those promises made to get the votes were in writing.. else, there are gonna be a lot of disappointed representatives.

The Republican rules package released Friday includes those concessions. It will allow any one member to force a “motion to vacate” the speaker’s chair and overthrow McCarthy. It makes it harder for the House to raise spending, taxes and the debt limit. And Perry said the agreement includes “conservative representation” across the House, including by adding members of the right flank to key committees.

With Republican leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) assuming the House speakership after 15 grueling roll-call vote counts due to a faction in his own caucus who bitterly opposed him, one GOP adviser claimed that anti-McCarthy GOPers are likely going to pay for putting up a protracted fight. Speaking with CNN host Alex Marquardt, conservative campaign consultant Alice Stewart explained the bitterness of the speaker vote will linger and that some of their Republican colleagues in House are furious about their demands for more power.

Manchin and Sinema are almost looking good.

McCarthy signed that “Bill of Sale” years ago. His difficulties winning the House Speakership were his owner(s) toying with him… with more to come…

Nice but a little off. Putting an R next to your name means you’re already soulless and while some R’s sell their souls, most eagerly throw them in the garbage long before they enter politics.

The problem is that McCarthy is NOT selling his soul, but the soul of the USA.

He’s sold everything else, it’s all he has left, though to be honest I thought he sold his soul a while ago.
