Is that the one that’s on its side? Maybe the moon learned enough about mankind back in the 60’and 70’s and now have an effective border patrol.

Ah, yes, the unexpected juxtaposition of disparate elements resulting in humor (in case our resident trolls are confused.) But I think I’ve been spoiled by Clay, missing the Easter eggs…..

The more you depend on other folks, the more likely you are to…

1: get more done than inventing it yourself

2: find out that the other folks aren’t completely perfect.

PS: Inventing it yourself has the same problems… AND you can’t so easily point fingers.

Back in the ‘90s, working for a company connecting corporations to the Internet, we discovered early one a.m. that almost half the U.S. was losing connectivity to the ’net. One of the other companies providing connectivity had misconfigured a switch, putting in a route to the ’net which did not actually exist (programming error). Such programming changes are immediately and automatically sent out to all switches and routers and they’ll automatically take the shortest route. It created what is known as a Black Hole and Internet traffic east of the Missippisi was pouring into it. We called the company immediately and their senior engineers resolved the issue as quickly as possible. The blackout last week might have been caused like this or bad equipment, massive solar flare activities staring the night before (but then why where only 2 or 3 companies affected in only parts of the nation), a cyberattack. I don’t think the cause will ever be disclosed for national security reasons.

I’ve seen the latest videos of the landing. An artist’s interpretation. Why bother with a launch? Make a few nice videos, fake the numbers and then, steal whatever money is left in the budget. A green space program! No need to burn a 100 million pounds of fuel, we’ll fake the whole thing.

The Dark Side of the MoonStudio album by Pink Floyd, Alice, Cow Flew Over the Moon, rat, pizza or Slice of Cheese as we all know the Moon is Made of Cheese., Little Green Men or Women and Footsteps but where are Lunar Lander from the Apollo’s 11,12,14,15,16,17? Or they are in the background.

Odysseus may not be the best name for a space probe. Yeah, it’ll reach its destination, but it’ll spend 10 years wandering off course and when it gets there 95% of its systems have been destroyed.

    For PR:

And if the dam breaks open many years too soon

And if there is no room upon the hill

And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too

I’ll see you on the dark side of the moon

Question: if the cow jumped over the moon; would her reentry into earth’s atmosphere be an utter disaster? When she landed would the first human comment be well done?

Love this one! I laughed at the cow. Glad Pizza Rat made it there to comfort the distressed astronauts……and, of course, Alice. They should be appreciative that AT&T is paying customers $5.00 for their inconvenience.
