The Dead Sea is the lowest place on earth. Since it doesn’t drain to any other water body, it has an extremely high saline count. Don’t swim there if you have so much as a tiny cut; it’s excruciating…

If you’re looking for synonyms for “dead,” there is no better place to go than to watch Monty Python’s dead parrot sketch.

And sometime in the future it will become a dry and arid depression known as the long time no sea.

Can’t sea it from here, must be dead and over “six feet under.” Will it return as “Zombie Sea?”

“UNDER CONSTRUCTION!” The Dead Sea is and will be the one few spots staying still. The rest of the world…if I put on a black tuxedo with white blouse underneath..Will they allow me to join to a group of penguins in the South Pole? I mean…ok…just kidding. Too cold waters there for me. OK my destiny is to hold up high the flag in my castle, just like my ancestors have done. Come what may! Horace come along! I have some goods in my cellar…:)

A Salty Dog (from The Dead Sea?)""All hands on deck! We’ve run afloat!"I heard the captain cry“Explore the ship! Replace the cook!Let no one leave alive!”Across the straits, around the hornHow far can sailors fly?A twisted path, our tortured courseAnd no one left alive

We sailed for parts unknown to manWhere ships come home to die

    image: http://static.urx.io/units/web/urx-unit-loader.gif

No lofty peak, nor fortress boldCould match our captain’s eyeUpon the seventh sea-sick dayWe made our port of callA sand so white, and sea so blueNo mortal place at all

We fired the guns and burned the mastAnd rowed from ship to shoreThe captain cried, we sailors weptOur tears were tears of joyNow many moons and many JunesHave passed since we made landSalty Dog, the seaman’s logYour witness in my own hand
