The boss left a drill on the counter. I pointed it out to a veteran co-worker. “What’s that?” She wasn’t about to walk into whatever I was planning and said she didn’t know. “Really? You’ve been here so long, I thought you’d know the drill.”
This was as I was heading out the door, of course.
