I hope he’s not planning to eat that! We finally get a good look at him, installing his Ligabite and Mega Force circuit boards.

Incidentally, we had an extremely powerful thunderstorm go through here on the weekend. We were without electricity for 23 hours, so I haven’t had a chance to read comments the last two days. Across the river in Ottawa, they lost 225 power poles and lots of mature trees down everywhere.

Poor rat, tried binge reading the last few years of the strip. The illogical endings was more than it’s tiny system could handle!

I’m going to wager a guess and say that the dude’s impatient friend is a hawk. Hawks eat mice and the exclamation points would be the hawk’s vocalization.

I would suggest adding small, smiley-faced hearts, then lovingly garnish it with lark’s vomit.

“! ! !”? What kind of alarm do you tell to have some patience? Is this a vocalization or an actuation? Has some voiceless critter arrived and is actuating an alarm to be fed? If the rat is being slow-cooked in that serving pan (?), then the alarm would be the indication that it’s done cooking (?) and there is some other noise indicated by “! ! !” made by the critter. So many questions.

Also, is he planning on splitting the rat with the creature, or does he have a more appetizing repast for himself somewhere?

4-It’s a shame you disappointed me in failing to become the next mouse-based cartoon sensation, Whitey. You failed to follow even the easiest stage direction so you have only yourself to blame. At least I will have the benefit of your mouse powers once I eat you – a fondness for cheese and the ability to squeeze through holes smaller than my body! Oh – and a natural resistance to Bubonic Plague!

This is ridiculous! Are Mike and Shelley telling me there are no: McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, Popeye’s, Chick-Fila’s, KFC’s or even Churchey’s (with their greasy chicken) near these guys? They must divide a rat between themselves. No Sale! I am not buying it. They did not get those roly poly physiques via a rodent diet.

Need to have potato chips and other assorted forms of junk food at their residence.

Several commentators have mention this character’s resemblance to the late Victor Buono … & today’s strip reminded me of a Night Gallery episode where Buono’s character, dressed like a successful businessmen, is at an employment agency, ostensibly looking for a new secretary, He passes on a number of attractive but thin applicants. Then, a heavy-set girl walks in. He says “She’ll do”, opens his briefcase, & pulls out a knife & fork.
