thats tellin’ him, Honey, put MoonGrandpa on the spot…
You tell ’em Honeymoon!!
“We will need many more weaponized Space Coupes! Ro-Zan was a fool to plan an attack so under-prepared! Er, I mean, we have a lot to learn about interacting with other cultures.”
Good morning™, all!
Honeymoon has good instincts. She doesn’t want to be handled with kid gloves so much. She is growing up. Grandpa Thorin has a lot of work ahead of him, but notice that Tracy says that the Moon people staying inside their colony is only “for now.” Once they start mixing with the outside world, other issues will arise.
P3 is really nice
A bit of snark there by the young lady.
A few days ago another major problem occurred to me with Ro-Zan’s plan…..
A few years ago Broadway Bates was sent to THE BIG HOUSE and it was implied The Penguin was a relative of his.
If The Batman exists in Tracy’s universe who else might be out and about that would easily put the kabosh on Ro-Zan’s plans?
Good morning™, sweet adorations !
That kid’s got moxie so quit treating her with Nerf™ gloves. Govass is not kidding himself about the reality of no sudden emergence.
With the polar ice caps melting, the Lunarians may be joining the outside world sooner than Thorin & Tracy think.
Congrats to those who picked up on it yesterday that Honeymoon was reacting to the Governor’s comment for them to move along. She is very intuitive.
And, to revisit my comment to Avenger yesterday, this story isn’t over yet.
Sounds like Grampa forgot that Honeymoon also has abilities to sniff out the truth like her PopPop !
Please let us get back to the Crime situation’s with Sam ?? << remember him ?? And maybe Yeti and a bunch of the other " guys and girls " , did Daisy ever get out of that pit ?
Uh, oh! Looks like someone is in trouble!
Love that third panel!
yeah, why don’t gramps tells her in person… is he planning on leaving already? but he just got there. At least stay for a little bit.
Must have been either some punch Ro-Zan put on Tracy’s chin, or Pleger is being thorough with her continuity.
Well, Thorin didn’t demand the ring back at cannonpoint, but the petulant fist-shaking is not an encouraging sign that future relations/negotiations with NMV will be a piece of cake….
Why do the moonmen always look ticked off or angry? The women don’t have the same expression drawn on their faces (unless appropriate).
Isn’t this how Jim Crow started?
Honeymoon is learning. Finding a way to eavesdrop without being noticed, until she wants to be.
“So I’m calling in a nuclear strike. Luckily, Sam ‘borrowed’ a few nukes. You’d better hurry back.”
Honeymoon looks very seductive………….
Maybe Thorin’s people will be ready by 2024 for the outside world. He needs a serious “vetting process” as to who among them will be loyal to him.
“Hello. Standing right here. I can hear you. What’s your problem moon-pappy?”
I mean Mysta and Honeymoon get along just fine out in the world with the humans. The issue is these people who are living under a virtual rock. They need to get out and socialize with people some. Watching TV all the time is not helping them.
“KaaaaaaZOWIEEEEEEE, all you hip cats and Super Swell Swingers listening out there in Terrific Tracy Town! MoonGov seems to be all-apologetic today! And we here at the Big, Bold BMBG can identify with that! And I, your Deeply Delightful Deejay, JPuzzle The Whiz, have just the right song that sums it up!”
1-THOR-IN: You missed a spot on your chin when you shaved this morning. DT: It’s a bruise I got saving your cowardly azz ya dim-witted hunk a moon cheese!
2-*THOR-IN: HOW’D YA LIKE ANOTHER ONE TO MATCH IT YA HORNLESS PIECE OF EARTH MEAT?!?
3-HONEY MOONS: Now now Grandpas. There’s no point trying to prove who has the biggest pair when you’re both so old they’re just ornamentation now.
DT: WHO ASKED YA? THOR-IN: YEAH! SHADDAP YA LITTLE PUNK! AND QUIT SPYING!
HONEY: I wasn’t spying. You deaf old farts talk so loud, people in the cemetery heard you.
DT: Cemetery? THAT’S WHERE I’M GONNA PUT YOU, THOR-IN! THOR-IN: NOT IF I PUT YOU THERE FIRST!!! Uh…what’s a “cemetery”?
Wow, when he apologizes he still looks like he’s threatening.
Honeymoon looks like she’s channeling gymnast McKayla Maroney. Maroney’s look of disappointment after coming in second at the 2012 Olympics went viral:
A few last minute ideas—-
1.)If Roz-An were to swallow a concealed vial of cyanide, like Goering and a few of those others did;it would save everybody a great deal of decision-making
2.)Moon Gov will need a new second in command, and the choice is so obvious he’ll never see it.His own wife.Who knows the local situation better than her?And he can trust her a lot better than the last one!!
And if she can put up with the old grump for 58 years, she must be pretty good at diplomacy.
3.)Will that chin EVER heal?
4.)Back at headquarters,Tracy makes the mistake of asking “What’s new?”
OK, that’s enough Moon People. Bring on Shaky and Edison!
“Do you play hand ball?”
Prison chaplain to inmate===MUTINY IN THEBIG HOUSE—1939
Gasp! Lil’ scamp! Honeymoon is great!I do think it’s good that Thorin is able to admit to shortcomings!
Ahhh….the expression on Thorin’s Face and the fist shaking doesn’t convey, “we are coming out in peace after we work out our problems.”….…more like…… “I will create a Luftwaffe, change the Reichsmarine into the Kriegsmarine, Build Panzers, and buy a WHOLE LOT of maps of Poland and France!!!” Sorry, tracy, you gots In-Law issues.
I think that the second panel should have been split in two. Because there’s two emotions shown by Thorin there, one where he insists that they’ll be ready in time and second is his remorse is asking DT to tell Honeymoon that he was sorry.
I like the way Shelley puts a little smirk on Honey’s face…
Let’s not be snarky, ’Tweener, okay? It looks like Honeymoon is definitely into that difficult span of life called adolescence, wherein it is genetically encoded to rebel against elders. (I may exaggerate some; but hitherto it has not been like Honeymoon to disobey a directive to leave the Space Coupe with Mysta and instead to hang around and eavesdrop, and comment on what she overheard!)
Thorin and Tracy are agreed, be that as it may, that the time is not yet ripe for the Lunarians to join “outside,” i.e. Terran, society. Other than that rebellious cabal of xenophobes, New Moon Valley seems to be a nice, peaceful place to live….
